As the Talent Development Director at JM Family Enterprises, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and success of our organization. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of strategic initiatives, ensuring that our talent development programs align with our business objectives and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Consultation: Collaborate closely with HR and business leaders to design and implement enterprise-wide talent development solutions. Your insights will drive our organization's growth and performance through differentiated development and learning initiatives that elevate our organization.

  • Associate Development: Lead the team in developing a comprehensive and programmatic approach to support the growth and professional development of our associates. Your focus will be on creating impactful learning experiences that empower our team members.

  • Leadership Development: Guide the team in continuously refining our flagship programs, the JM Family Way Core and Elevate, ensuring they remain relevant and effective in the ever-evolving landscape of work and leadership.

  • Deep Dive Learning Offerings: Provide strategic direction for targeted deep dive learning opportunities. These offerings will enhance the skills and capabilities of both our leaders and associates.

  • Organizational Learning Strategies: Regularly assess and update our organizational learning strategies. Your goal is to ensure that our programs align with company objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Competency Integration: Define our organization's strategy for identifying, managing, sustaining, and integrating competencies that directly align with our business needs and overall success.

  • Individual Development Plans: Oversee the enterprise approach to Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Ensure that these plans provide tangible value and effectively support associate development.

  • Learning Technology Optimization: Maximize the use of learning technologies, including platforms like LinkedIn Learning and Workday, to enhance our team's skills and knowledge.

  • Measurement: Collaborate with Talent Enablement to define success metrics. These measures will help us understand the impact of our programs on both associates and leaders.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in diverse HR roles, including talent development or talent management

  • Proven leader who exemplifies JM Family leadership qualities and lives our core values

  • Able to define and maintain the team's strategy and direction, coach and develop team members, and remove roadblocks to their success

  • Able to leverage HR analytics to assess learning and development activities; utilize results to develop, initiate, and maintain effective programs to drive improvement

  • Highly adaptable, comfortable working in ambiguity, and willing to challenge the status quo with insightful recommendations

  • Extraordinary communication skills at all levels of the organization

  • Knowledge of creating organizational learning and talent development strategies

  • Capability to integrate talent management with business strategies
