Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Talent Development Consultant in Monroe, LA to assist with training our COR (Customer Order Resolution) team training! Although this is the primary focus, this individual may assist with other trainings as needed.

Job Description

  • Under limited supervision conducts a variety of training programs supporting processes, products, systems, and/or methodologies.

  • Maintains records of training activities and employee progress.

  • Researches, analyzes, and recommends appropriate training programs.

  • Demonstrates effective facilitation skills.

  • May perform on the job training support activities.

  • Identifies, selects, or adapts training courses, tools and/or training aids to intended audience.

  • Develops relationship with assigned internal customers to establish ongoing consideration of training effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Evaluates effectiveness of training programs by reviewing team resources; including Level 1 feedback, facilitation observations; etc

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coaching sales professionals to improve knowledge and skills

  • Participate on cross functional teams to improve programs, processes, etc.

  • Support internal initiatives

  • Deliver programs to fulfill client needs

  • Facilitate training on a select number of topics to specified level of the organization

Qualifications


Preferred Qualifications &

Skills:
  • Knowledge of the applicable channel's business processes, product set, pricing, ordering and billing systems with basic skills.

  • Demonstrated skills in effectively conducting training in the following forums: one-on-one, classroom or virtual learning utilizing web conferencing tools, Adobe Connect, and other tools.

  • General understanding of how to use effective coaching techniques.

  • Foundation knowledge of how to read analytics reports.

  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize appropriately.

  • Previous sales experience is preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.

  • 2 - 4 years of related experience

  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time

Position Overview: This position is responsible for analyzing, valuing, and price potential acquisitions, mergers and divestiture opportunities. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) : * Quantify the following key issues that may affect CenturyLink's ability to successfully acquire targeted companies: risk analysis, synergy identification, acquisition pricing, forecasting impacts on CenturyLink's corporate and financial performance, purchase structure decisions (stock vs. asset purchase, tax deferred vs. taxable transaction), form of consideration (cash vs. stock), and related financing (debt vs. equity) * Lead due diligence investigations and valuation of M&A Targets. This involves leading and coordination a large team of internal resources across multiple organizational units and sometime it involves coordinating with external advisors * Manage the diligence process by developing an initial list of diligence requests at the outset of a process and draft additional requests as needed. * Develop and maintain diligence requests related to target companies or divestiture opportunities. Work with internal business units to ensure all request are submitted, tracked and met in a timely fashion. Work with the target's representation to ensure all request are submitted, acknowledged, responded to and tracked to ensure that all data required to make the proper business decision is acquired and the diligence process is successfully completed. * Maintain awareness of CenturyLink's operations, adjacent industry, technological, economic, environmental and competitive situations that may influence the current and future inorganic strategy. * Develop and maintain valuation models, tools and methods that ensure that all opportunities are accurate and timely valuated. * Update and maintain CenturyLink's consolidated long range projection model. Work closely with Treasury and Finance to ensure data used to forecast CenturyLink's financial position after an acquisition or combination is accurate, current and in agreement with Company long range growth plans. * Develop business plans for the launch of new products and services, joint ventures, and entry into new lines of business. * Monitor financial and operational results of acquired companies against valuation assumptions and projected performance standards. Track and report synergy results and achievement and compare those results to expected results. * Valuation of past acquisitions to measure acquisition success, or impairment. * Assist in the valuation and purchases of CenturyLink's minority stockholders and partnership holdings. * Prepare research reports, presentations, profiles and industry landscapes for competitors, target companies, new products, company specific prospects and industry specific prospects to assist CenturyLink's executive team with making decisions about the company's current and future inorganic strategy.
