McKesson is seeking a Talent Delivery Leader. The Talent Delivery Leader (TDL) reports to the VP, Talent Acquisition and is accountable for leading, inspiring and developing a team of Talent Advisors and Recruiting Coordinators. The TDL is responsible for building strong relationships with business leaders and HRBP's to fully understand the business strategy and hiring needs for the assigned businesses/function. Once the strategy is known, the TDL is responsible for creating the hiring strategy, assigning the resources and managing to completion.

Key Responsibilities

TEAM

  • Manage, engage and develop team of talent advisors and recruiting coordinators

  • Lead, inspire and coach a smart, ambitious recruiting team across multiple locations while driving a high level of performance against our aggressive hiring needs

  • Create/use recruiting metrics and analytics to provide insights, drive decision making and measure team productivity (i.e. SLAs, and customer satisfaction).

  • Create an engaging environment for the team

  • Develop team members in areas of opportunity and areas of desired growth

  • Provide oversight and ownership for the identified businesses/functions but, also provide hands on support to insure overall hiring needs are met when necessary.

  • Remove barriers, create solutions, and/or set expectations to help TA's meet business expectations

Understand business needs

  • Develop effective working relationships and partner with business leaders at all levels of the organization to understand needs and provide consultation on talent acquisition strategies and challenges

  • Share and exchange best practices to continuously improve results as well as leverage resources and programs across the enterprise

  • Provide business leaders and partners with analytics when necessary

  • Integrate new businesses into McKesson Talent Acquisition shared services when necessary

  • Provide talent acquisition training to business leaders when necessary

Partnership

  • Develop effective working relationships and leverage HRBPs to understand business strategies and hiring needs

  • Partner and collaborate with TA Operations and HR Operations to ensure TA needs are met in the most effective way

  • Provide partnership between business leaders and RPO when necessary.

  • Partner with RPO to create innovative solutions to ensure RPO is successful in delivering to the business need

Systems

  • Understand systems and tools provided to Talent Advisor and Recruiting Coordinators to help train and ensure accuracy of systems.

  • Monitor and ensure usage of tools provided to team members

Typical Qualifications

  • Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

Critical Skills

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources/Talent Acquisition

  • 6+ years' experience as a successful team leader with a proven track record of developing your team for future roles

  • Demonstrated experience working for geographically dispersed, complex organizations

  • Ability to translate business plans/workforce planning to creative recruiting strategies that drive overall business effectiveness

  • Track record of effectively influencing and navigating across organizational boundaries and building strong partnerships that produce positive results

  • Excellent relationship management skills - ability to establish credibility and partner with leaders to identify talent gaps, needs, risk and plans for actions

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to execute fast-paced and high-volume recruitment efforts

Additional Knowledge and Preferred Skills

  • Background in managing RPO relationship strongly preferred

  • Experience with Workday strongly preferred

  • Expert knowledge of employment law, corporate recruitment practices

  • Bachelor's degree human resources, business administration, organizational development, or a related degree preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to operate a laptop

  • Travel 25% (visiting office locations)
