The Talent Acquisition Assistant supports the talent acquisition team in various administrative tasks and activities related to hiring new employees. Supports the entire recruitment process from job posting to offer acceptance through on-boarding of the new hire.

  • Job Posting: Assisting in drafting and posting job advertisements on various platforms such as Montgomery County's Applicant Tracking System. LinkedIn and Career Link;

  • Candidate Sourcing: Helping to identify and source potential candidates through various channels like job boards, LinkedIn, networking events, job fairs, school events and referrals;

  • Resume Screening: Reviewing resumes and applications to assess candidate qualifications and suitability for open positions;

  • Interview Coordination: Scheduling interviews and coordinating logistics for both candidates and interviewers, including booking meeting rooms and arranging video conference calls;

  • Candidate Communication: Corresponding with candidates to provide updates on their application status, schedule interviews, and gather necessary documentation;

  • Data Management: Maintaining applicant tracking systems (ATS) or databases by entering candidate information, updating records, and generating reports as needed.  Assist with implementation of current and new systems.  Participates in the selection process for new talent acquisition systems/software/websites;

  • Onboarding Support: assures candidates are transitioned to the onboarding process for new hires.  Will provide assistance to the on-boarding process as needed;

  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing recruitment and hiring practices, such as equal employment opportunity (EEO) guidelines and data protection laws.

Required Minimum Education, Credential and Experience

  • Previous Human Resources experience working with an applicant tracking system and candidates;

  • High School or equivalent education;

  • Ability to communicate verabally and in writing;

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills;

  • Ability to drive or have reliable transportation to attend hiring events, schools and other functions.
