Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Sourcing:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions and determine appropriate compensation.

  • Utilize Workday ERP to post job openings and manage applicant tracking.

  • Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse candidate pool, ensuring effective internal and external marketing of employment opportunities.

  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.

Interview Coordination:

  • Work with hiring managers to effectively schedule interviews, train interview committee members on proper hiring practices, and ensure a smooth and efficient interview process for all applicants.

  • Communicate with candidates to provide information about interviews, campus visits, and expectations.

Onboarding and Orientation:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires using Workday ERP to complete necessary paperwork.

  • Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring a warm welcome and comprehensive introduction to the university.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of onboarding materials and resources.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Workday system on required completions of I9s, background checks, tax and payroll documents, and new hire trainings.

  • Ensure compliance with university policies, employment laws, and regulations.

Collaboration and Training:

  • Collaborate with HR team members to continuously improve recruitment and onboarding processes.

  • Provide training and support to hiring managers and new employees on Workday ERP usage.

Candidate Experience:

  • Create a positive and memorable experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process.

  • Address candidate inquiries and provide timely feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

  • 2+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or related roles (preferred).

  • Strong data management and processing skills.

  • Capable of gaining proficiency in using Workday software is essential.

  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of employment laws and regulations.

  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
