Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Sourcing:
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions and determine appropriate compensation.
Utilize Workday ERP to post job openings and manage applicant tracking.
Implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract a diverse candidate pool, ensuring effective internal and external marketing of employment opportunities.
Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
Interview Coordination:
Work with hiring managers to effectively schedule interviews, train interview committee members on proper hiring practices, and ensure a smooth and efficient interview process for all applicants.
Communicate with candidates to provide information about interviews, campus visits, and expectations.
Onboarding and Orientation:
Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires using Workday ERP to complete necessary paperwork.
Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring a warm welcome and comprehensive introduction to the university.
Assist in the development and maintenance of onboarding materials and resources.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Workday system on required completions of I9s, background checks, tax and payroll documents, and new hire trainings.
Ensure compliance with university policies, employment laws, and regulations.
Collaboration and Training:
Collaborate with HR team members to continuously improve recruitment and onboarding processes.
Provide training and support to hiring managers and new employees on Workday ERP usage.
Candidate Experience:
Create a positive and memorable experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Address candidate inquiries and provide timely feedback.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or related roles (preferred).
Strong data management and processing skills.
Capable of gaining proficiency in using Workday software is essential.
Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of employment laws and regulations.
