Job title: Talent Acquisition Team Lead

About the role and the Team:
The Talent Acquisition Team Lead will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of talent acquisition professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality recruitment services, and driving the achievement of talent acquisition goals. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will contribute to building a high-performing talent acquisition team and driving excellence in candidate experience and talent acquisition delivery.
What will you be doing?
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of talent acquisition professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive high performance
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure individual and team development and growth
Talent Acquisition Team Development:
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the skills, capabilities, and knowledge of the talent acquisition team members, with the Senior Talent Acquisition Delivery Manager
Identify training and development needs, coordinate relevant learning opportunities, and support career progression within the team
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to ensure the team remains updated on industry trends and best practices
Role distribution & organisation:
Manage the allocation of recruitment responsibilities and workload within the team, ensuring equitable distribution and effective utilization of resources
Identify opportunities to optimize role distribution, streamline processes, and enhance efficiency
Provide guidance and support in managing challenging recruitment assignments and critical talent acquisition projects
Taking on volume of direct hiring delivery; leading on requisition load personally
Objective & KPI leadership:
Alongside the Senior Talent Acquisition Delivery manager, set team objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and targets aligned with talent acquisition goals and organisational objectives
Monitor and track progress towards objectives and KPIs, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to ensure performance targets are met or exceeded
Local Market hiring, brand & talent Strategies:
Support the Talent Acquisition team in solving for hiring challenges in each market
Direct involvement in developing Employer Brand strategies; working with wider People team colleagues
Lead / support on Talent Acquisition teams' collaboration with HRBP's on market trends and overall Talent program
Candidate Experience Management:
Champion a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely and professional communication, feedback, and engagement
Identify areas for improvement in the candidate experience and implement initiatives to enhance candidate satisfaction and employer brand perception
Reporting & Data:
Working with TA Operations Manager in ensuring company is kept up to date on Recruitment challenges, changes, opportunities and success with up to date and relevant data
Ensure Talent Acquisition team are maintaining recruitment information into the companies Applicant Tracking System (eArcu) - to enable accurate reporting and supporting a centre of truth for data
Line Manager Engagement / Stakeholder Leadership:
Collaborate closely with hiring managers and HR business partners, providing guidance, leadership, and support throughout the recruitment process
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, managing expectations, and driving stakeholder satisfaction
Provide strategic advice and insights to stakeholders on talent acquisition strategies, market trends, and recruitment best practices
Additional Roles & Responsibilities:
Talent Pool leadership - supporting generation, maintaining and reviews
Project Leadership & delivery
HR/People team support - During non-peak hiring periods, 20-30% of the time will be spent on general HR projects and duties as needed by local HR leadership.Divisional leadership meetings
Advertising governance
Talent Acquisition Operations support - working with Talent Acquisition Operations Management
What we are looking for:
Educated to Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a business-relevant subject
Recruitment experience in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
Strong experience in a variety of selection methods e.g. interview techniques, psychometric testing, assessment days
Strong experience of using job boards and CV search methods to source candidates
Experience of providing an in-house recruitment service
Good communication skills in written and verbal English
Good interpersonal skills, able to build rapport quickly, negotiate with and influence suppliers/candidates/managers as necessary
Competent presenter
Good prioritisation and organisation skills
Leadership / Team lead experience
Numerate and able to understand and demonstrate control of recruitment costs
