As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the Global Tools & Storage (GTS) Division (North America Region) of Stanley Black & Decker; This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new recruiting ideas. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent for the organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work directly with team leaders on hiring actions and recruiting plans.

  • Build solid relationships across the organization.

  • Efficiently and effectively fill open positions.

  • Update reports on TTF and TTA.

  • Reacts to change as a positive challenge and translates it into opportunities.

  • Conduct ongoing critique of current practices and constantly seeks/implements new approaches to improve productivity and effectiveness.

  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.

  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.

  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.

  • Utilize a variety of sources for passive and active candidate recruitment.

  • Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.

  • Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.

  • Network through Industry Contacts, Association Memberships, Trade Groups, Colleges, and Employees to identify sources to find ideal candidates.

  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.

  • Lead and execute special projects and training programs, under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Director.

  • Maintain requisition and applicant data in Kenexa Brass Ring ATS.

  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.

  • Conduct pre-screening interviews.

  • Assist with coordination and execution of on-site interviews.

  • Assist in preparing and sending offer packages.

  • Close out requisitions and send notifications to applicants.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or related field required.

  • 1-4 years' experience of full-cycle recruiting in a corporate human resources department or fast-paced third-party agency.

  • Able to manage a high-volume of recruiting assignments and thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

  • Must have the ability to work across diverse cultures and styles to build consensus and support.

  • Strong work ethic and experience at multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced, demanding and energetic environment.

  • Strong negotiation skills required.

  • Knowledge of BrassRing or other ATS a plus.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft HRIS system a plus.

  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and Power Point.

Global tools and storage are currently seeking candidates for our HR administrator position based in Towson, MD. This position will be responsible for assisting the human resources director with a broad array of human resource functions including recruiting, training & development, and diversity & inclusion as well as a variety of additional tasks as provided. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn world-class human resources/talent acquisition coordination and special projects within Stanley Black & Decker. Responsibilities * Prepare job offer letters * Conduct compensation and benefits analyses for various roles * Organize candidates' data (e.g. resumes, assignments and contact details) in internal databases * Design candidate experience surveys and analyze feedback * Perform background and reference checks * Coordinate interviews and contact applicants, as needed * Prepare reports on new hire metrics (e.g. time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire) * Organize our employee referral process, including asking for referrals and managing bonus requests * Assist with new hire onboarding (e.g. preparing necessary paperwork and scheduling trainings) * Provides general support for the TA department including travel requests (including managing their personal expense report – Concur experience preferred), * Greets walk-in applicants, determines need, and completes next steps to ensure a positive candidate experience. * Possess a thorough knowledge of hiring processes, procedures, and methodologies. * Ensure all compliance associated with the company's hiring practices. * Ensure a complete positive hiring experience for the applicant, candidate, and new employee. * Processing invoices to be paid (Ariba experience preferred). * Manages the reimbursement process. * Tracks the employee referral process. * Assists with interview events as needed. * Order equipment and network information for TA contractors. * Be the liaison between candidates and the internal network of SBD employees. * Assist with front desk duties as needed. * Create and send offer letters as needed. * Assist with managing requisitions/sourcing/recruiting as needed. * Manage the TA calendar/inbox. * Other duties and complete special projects, as assigned. * Ongoing review and maintenance of processes and procedures to ensure consistent application and accuracy. * Support the function of Diversity and Inclusion through the coordination and planning support of our full range of special programs and events. * Maintain internal social media presence on the organizational website, twitter account etc. Support other internal and external outreach efforts to promote awareness of D&I and build strong and inclusive constituent relationships. * Gather the latest diversity statistics and create a report that will be updated once a quarter and maintaining a statistical database on diversity within the organization. * Maintain and coordinate quarterly D&I Executive Council meetings, Employee Resource Group meetings and other Office of Diversity and Inclusion events. * Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
