JOB SUMMARY: The Talent Acquisition Specialist researches, develops, and implements effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates for open positions. Sources candidates for hard-to-fill roles, manager and executive level roles, and ones that require additional steps in the selection process.
Responsibilities:
Facilitates and implements all phases of the recruitment process
Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
Assists in the development of search committees, screens applicants and participates in the interview process as needed
Develops and cultivates relationships with referral sources (i.e., diversity recruitment sources, etc.)
Sources candidates and uses creative strategies to find qualified talent
Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
Assists with job posting and advertisement processes. Makes recommendations on the most effective advertising strategies
Screens applications and selects qualified candidates
Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholders
Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, a related field, or equivalent years of experience
2+ years of experience in recruiting or human resources
Experience with the recruitment and hiring process
Human resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is preferred
Demonstrated experience using good research techniques
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to negotiate with candidates and hiring managers toward a mutual agreeable solution
Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
Proficient with or the ability to learn quickly applicant-tracking software or other recruitment system
Ability to make objective decisions using sound judgment
Ability to work in a hybrid environment
