Job purpose

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Talent & Culture, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for researching and identifying top talent, cultivating relationships, and representing Optoro to potential candidates during a high growth phase for the company. The position will also be responsible for managing processes to ensure we maintain our unique company culture in the midst of rapid growth.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage recruiting efforts for junior and mid level roles in the corporate office including manage the full life cycle recruitment process source, sell, qualify, interview, close and welcome

  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, respond to candidate questions, provide updates on next steps in the process, and promote Optoro as an employer of choice

  • Maintain the hiring processes, working directly with the Talent & Culture team to implement changes when necessary to ensure efficiency

  • Develop a critical eye for appropriate candidates by fully understanding the unique needs of the hiring managers and conducting comprehensive interviews that test for the right attributes

  • Maintain the integrity of the applicant tracking database and serve as the expert for team; work closely with Manager of Talent & Culture in creating metric driven recruiting competency

  • Assist with on-campus recruiting efforts including events, career fairs, networking events, and meet-ups

  • Attend networking events to promote the Optoro brand and identify new candidate pools

  • Assist with additional Talent & Culture team projects as needed, such as company-wide interview training and employee engagement initiatives

  • Consult with Hiring Managers to maintain best hiring practices, strategies, and initiatives


  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience; technical recruiting & start-up experience strongly preferred

  • ATS experience required

  • Employee focus mentality with exceptional attention to detail and organization skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced environment

  • Proven ability to manage self to goals and deadline

  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills

  • Exceptional organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly

Project Overview and Role The purpose of the position is to support the overall contributions of the talent acquisition team to the organization, specifically with the business development unit with bids and proposals The role will be responsible for sourcing candidates and developing networks, screening and scheduling candidate interviews, collecting documentation, and supporting talent associates for final salary negotiations by validating and substantiating applicant data. Responsibilities The Analyst will be expected to support talent initiatives by working closely with Talent Associates in the following capacities: * Effectively liaise with capture and BD teams to ensure full understanding of their requirements, preferences and timeframes and communicate these with talent associates * Advertise vacancies for Talent Associates when needed and filter resumes to match with required skills * Schedule and coordinate interviews for proposed staff with proposal team * Obtain USAID Biodata (EBD or 1420) forms from all proposed staff and substantiate data to include reference checks, salary history and all other required information for the proposal * Provide updates to Talent Associates on a weekly or more frequent basis regarding status relating to all personnel items * Maintain regular contact with proposed staff in each proposal or capture opportunity and provide relevant and timely information as needed * Perform other duties as assigned to ensure full quality operations of the Talent Acquisition team Requirements Minimum education and experience required * Bachelor's degree * 1-2 years of work experience in a professional office environment * Knowledge of international development, preferably USAID-funded projects Key competencies and professional expertise preferred * Knowledge of USAID proposal recruiting * Exposure to federal contracting and proposals preferred * Exceptional standard of written and oral communications skills with people at all levels * Excellent MS Office skills Core competencies * Capability to handle challenging issues in a diverse and dynamic environment * Ability to think critically when solving problems and offers ideas for potential solutions * Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels * Well developed and highly effective organizational skills and attention to details * Demonstrates a basic level of understanding in Palladium's strategy Job Description URL Applications Close Date21 Dec 2018 * Palladium Group, Inc.
