Overview
Milliman's Indianapolis Health practice is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our internship, early-career and experienced hire recruiting initiatives. The TA Specialist is an integral partner in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships. They are often providing candidates with their first impression of Milliman. To be successful, the TA Specialist must work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager, hiring managers, internal and external candidates, possess exceptional communication skills, can multi-task and use professional judgement to prioritize, and re-prioritize, tasks in order of urgency to meet practice hiring needs. This person should understand and enjoy the challenges and nuances required to successfully build a cohesive organization of talented individuals. This role requires an organized, collaborative, competent communicator who enjoys daily interactions with a diverse range of internal and external audiences, is able to deliver timely communication during crucial stages of the hiring process, and above all delivers exemplary customer service to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will directly impact the candidate experience and influence how Milliman is viewed as an employer by:
Interacting with interns, rising college graduates, and experienced professionals on a regular basis
Assisting with sourcing candidates, based on specified criteria, though recruiting tools such as LinkedIn, Handshake and resume books
Manage shared email inbox receiving staff requests, candidate questions, college/university communications, hiring manager communication, and more
Create efficiencies in candidate communication, scheduling, and interview workflows
Review applications, provide feedback, schedule interviews, and draft correspondence as requested
Promote Milliman's employer brand through a robust LinkedIn presence
Provide scheduling and materials support for college recruiting events and career fairs
Attend recruiting and HR networking events, as assigned
Qualifications
Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software systems including LinkedIn, Yello, Handshake, Brazen
Experience handling sensitive/confidential information
Customer service oriented with exceptional communication skills
Forward-thinking and a willingness to innovate
Brings enthusiasm and creativity to the development of procedures and systems (automated and manual) to improve the processing and flow of information within the practice
Natural curiosity, unafraid to ask questions that contribute to greater knowledge and better solutions
Collaborative, team player
Skilled organizer who can work across multiple time zones and has experience using video conferencing tools and file sharing
Articulate and respectful when communicating with candidates and colleagues - virtually, in writing, and in person
Understands interdependencies of tasks and deadlines, can effectively negotiate competing priorities with a sense of urgency
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Event Management, Human Resources, Marketing, or related
2+ years of directly applicable experience in talent acquisition, event management, human resources, marketing, or related
Experience using an applicant tracking system for talent acquisition or talent management; UKG knowledge beneficial
A SHRM, PHR or other HR certification(s), or desire to obtain certification in the future
Desire to grow your career in Recruiting/HR

The Team
The Talent Acquisition (TA) team leads practice growth initiatives across a dynamic range of professions within a fast-paced and growing health consulting practice. TA staff partner with stakeholders across the practice including, but not limited to, senior leadership, hiring leaders, interviewers, assessors, admin. and more. TA staff are responsible for campus-based and experienced hire recruitment strategies and program management. Indy Health TA specifically recruits talent for Medicaid, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare Management, Policy, Child Welfare & Data Teams.
Location
Candidates hired into this role will be required to work in-person in the Milliman office in Indianapolis, Indiana on a weekly basis, but flexible work arrangements will be considered. The flexible and hybrid work arrangements include on-site interviews and events.
