First Western is hiring an experienced and tenacious talent acquisition professional to partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition in recruiting efforts for First Western, all from our gorgeous downtown Denver headquarters just steps from Union Station.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist must forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders at various levels throughout the organization. This role works in partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition and ensures the full life-cycle of recruiting effectively represents the First Western brand in all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process. Act as a First Western brand ambassador via recruiting websites, partnership with universities, productive networking to attract and hire the best talent in the market place . This position is also responsible for administration of the Company's Affirmative Action Program, recruiting related metrics, turnover reporting, updating or organizational charts, and management of the Company's Professional Development Program.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

  • Work with hiring managers via strategy meetings to update job descriptions, initiate job openings via Greenhouse, create attractive job postings, source/evaluate/screen talent, and effectively fill requisitions (excluding Director level or Executive roles).

  • Select and screen qualified applicants; coordinate interviews, related agenda, travel arrangements, and request feedback from interviewing teams.

  • Actively search for qualified candidates using Internet recruiting platforms, social media campains, and associate referrals to create a pipeline of potential candidates for current and future openings.

  • Partner with Director of Talent Acquisition to create job offer/package, negotiate terms, and administer transition in Greenhouse from applicant prospect to employee.

  • Act as a key partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition in developing and evaluating key recruiting and turn over metrics to formulate a strategy for attracting talent.

  • Ensure that all recruiting and hiring activities are compliant with First Western's Affirmative Action Plan, and administer ongoing and annual reporting.

  • Request pre-employment checks including: background screens, credit reports and employment verification.

  • Coordinate NMLS registrations/transfers.

  • Assist in coordinating the use of outside search firms and complete the vendor management approval process for new vendors.

  • Ensure all job descriptions are updated on an ongoing basis.

  • Maintain current knowledge of and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Ensure new employee on-boarding process is effective and well organized: new hire documentation, initial new hire record keeping, internal notifications, office space, etc. Partner with Benefits Coordinator to ensure benefit orientation is well organized and timely. Partner with universities to source talent, including Interns and prospects for the Company's Professional Development Program.

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the Professional Development Program: working with hiring managers to determine needs, sourcing and selecting talent from universities, on-boarding, program rotation management, and transition into regular full-time employment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 3+ years of full life-cycle recruiting. Demonstrated ability to create reports and analyze recruiting related trends

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work; excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong interpersonal skills; knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws; strong teamwork skills; high initiative and ability to work independently; problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; must be proficient at recruiting through social media

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills; experience using applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse), ADP preferred

Preferred requirements:

  • Banking industry recruiting strongly preferred
  • HR related certification preferred
