The Opportunity

Chewy has an exciting opportunity to join our pack as a Talent Acquisition Sourcer. Our Strategic Sourcing team works across both business and technology to drive top talent to current openings, and to build highly engaged pipelines for future positions. From product management to merchandising, technology to customer service management, or even data science and analytics, you'll be aligned to one of our core critical hiring verticals. Your focus will be helping build the teams that have been historically challenging to fill and are of high impact and value to Chewy.

What You'll Do

A day in the life of a Sourcer would include but is not limited to:

  • Using market trends, insights, and competitive intel to create and execute effective sourcing strategies for current and future positions; not just where you're going to find these people, but why and how

  • Identifying passive talent using Boolean, LinkedIn, social media sites and more know how to go where the talent is

  • Engaging and activating passive talent in meaningful, relevant, and authentic ways

  • Assessing talent for Chewy fit and job fit; we set a high bar for talent here at Chewy, and you'll be the first step in assuring our bar continues to rise

  • Owning candidate relationships through the point of in-person interviews. We're customer obsessed here at Chewy, and in Talent Acquisition our candidates are our customers. You'll be key in ensuring a positive candidate experience through regular updates and communication

  • Building and maintaining a network of highly engaged talent. We challenge you to go beyond an occasional check-in email, and we give you full autonomy to add value to people's lives in meaningful ways. Grab coffee after a busy season, help them with their resume; make a connection

  • Tracking, analyzing, and sharing pipeline activity updates with key stakeholders, as well as using data to inform your own strategies

  • Staying current on external recruiting and hiring trends to influence sourcing strategies while continuously sharpening your sourcing tools, as well as consulting Recruitment partners on sourcing best practices

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of corporate and/or agency recruiting or sourcing experience

  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills

  • Strong understanding of sourcing methods and strategies

  • Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence an ability to build authentic and long lasting relationships

  • Focused on candidate experience, action-orientated, and motivated by results

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

It will be responsible for the creation and implementation of recruitment strategies and will partner with the Talent Acquisition team member and hiring managers to support all hiring initiatives. The Talent Sourcer will creatively source, assess and select qualified applicants to be referred as candidates for open searches including networking and cultivating a talent pipeline. The Talent Acquisition Sourcer will be responsible for finding extraordinary hidden talent through unconventional means while establishing relationships with key talent within a professional network while ensuring a positive candidate experience Essential Responsibilities: * Works closely with the Talent Acquisition team member to understand staffing needs and develop a proactive, innovative sourcing/recruitment strategy to attract and recruit top talent. * Comprehends the market intelligence as well as the labor pool to better provide overall competitive compensation strategies to the stakeholders when identifying talent. * Partners with Talent Acquisition team member and hiring managers to generate ideas leverage resources and share information that facilitates and effective high volume and high quality search process. * Performs advanced sourcing including social media, internet and data base mining, developing relationships with professional organizations, colleges and schools, and community agencies to identify and recruit a diverse slate of candidates for all positions. * Utilizes knowledge of multiple recruiting sources to identify, screen, attract and target top talent by leveraging the use of technology while engaging, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization. * Provides additional staffing assistance, as required, and shares viable candidates across the medical center. Represents Beth Israel Lahey Health, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at job fairs, open houses, and college recruiting events. * 1Communicates status of searches with the Recruiter(s) on a consistent and timely basis. Required Qualifications: * High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. * 1-3 years related work experience required. * Experience with building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research. * Effective utilization of a variety of assessment skills including resume review, behavioral interviewing and reference screening. * Proven ability to appropriately assess and maintain discretion in confidential situations. * Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases. Preferred Qualifications: * High volume recruiting experience.
