Position Purpose

We are looking for a Program Manager - Campus and Community Partnerships to join our quickly growing, team. Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, the Program Manager will proactively build the necessary intern and entry-level talent pipelines to support a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-growth environment. He/she will manage all aspects of hiring strategy and execution for intern, entry-level, and early career roles at Sleep Number. This role will define, organize and execute our approach to relationship development with and acquisition of talent from colleges and universities across the country. In addition to hiring strategy and execution, this person will also be a key contributor to the development and success of the summer internship and training programs. This role will also build relationships with external organizations focused on building a diverse pipeline of candidates. This individual will demonstrate the ability to build successful working relationships with internal leaders to collaborate on strategic plans and achieve success metrics at target schools. A can-do attitude and hands on approach are requirements for assimilation into this fast-paced role.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, manage and actively execute programs and activities to support campus & community group recruiting strategies

  • Partner with business leaders and other key stakeholders to determine and communicate recruitment strategy, including school/organization selection, pipeline programs, candidate management, and hiring numbers

  • Manage strategic outreach and partnership with targeted programs and schools, including developing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with career services, student organizations, faculty, and community leaders. Continuously evaluating targeted schools and programs based on business and talent needs

  • Partner with Employer Branding/Marketing to leverage social media and employment branding to build awareness and engage with prospective candidates

  • Engage students & candidates through traditional and non-traditional methods on-campus and virtually

  • Develop annual fall and spring recruiting schedules and ensuring appropriate organizational representation at all functions

  • Partner with coordinator team on all logistics for campus interviews and second rounds/office visits

  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interview and onboarding processes

  • Partner with Organizational Effectiveness to drive development and execution of all aspects of job shadow, summer internship and training programs

  • Evaluate success of recruiting season by preparing and analyzing statistics on overall results to identify areas for process and performance improvement

  • Flex to provide sourcing support for Talent Acquisition team as needed during off-peak hiring times

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years in a Recruiting (Talent Acquisition) function or related role

  • Proven relationship management skills including a strong customer service orientation

  • Full cycle recruiting experience

  • Ability to travel as needed (heaviest times in Sept-Oct and Jan-Feb)

  • Advanced candidate sourcing skills

  • Ability to partner and build rapport with business partners both internally and externally

  • Continuous improvement track record of identifying opportunities and driving changes to positively impact recruiting results

  • Project Management skills or the ability to multi-task

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Various ATS systems Workday, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to build, foster and leverage relationships to improve results for TA and for the business overall

  • Ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities: * Partner with HR, Hiring Leaders, and Graduate Training Program Manager to develop recruitment strategies, understand position requirements, set expectations, and maintain communications throughout the talent acquisition process * Develop position profiles and postings that are thorough and attractive to potential candidates * Source candidates through job postings, referrals, and campus recruiting strategies (social media, networking, and niche resources, etc.) * Conduct phone screens, in person interviewing, provide candidate assessments, recommend viable candidates to hiring managers for future consideration, lead / facilitate candidate interview feedback session * Partner closely with HR and Compensation to manage the selection and offer process including: offer formulation, recommendation, and approval process; extension of verbal offer; offer acceptance and new hire start process * Manage all candidate communications and information to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the Talent Acquisition process including keep warm strategy * Ensure staffing policies and procedures are followed and completed; including partnering with Talent Acquisition Partners to ensure that proper documentation of candidates in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), as well as collect and file hiring compliance documentation. * Partner with territory and district Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to develop recruitment strategies, understand territory demand requirements, pipeline quality and needs, set expectations, and maintain communications throughout the talent acquisition process * Participate and execute administrative tasks as needed * Execute Full Life Cycle for Graduate Training Program/CGTP recruiting support including but not limited to: * Develop and manage execution of targeted University Relations Development activities for candidate sourcing to support early talent programs and intern hiring (Referral, Career Fairs, On Campus/phone Interviews, Student Organizations, and Faculty Partnerships etc). * Manage campus team activities and create/execute campus recruiter training * Provide support to college candidate assessment events that drive effective selection decisions; Assess candidates' suitability for program requirements * Executing in coordination with Districts, Territories, Sector, Second Round Events * Manage Territory Wide Intern Program, ensuring robust program that supports conversion of interns into Graduate Training Programs, including but not limited to: * Drive Intern demand identification, placement, and manage intern experience * Mentoring interns through summer program through 1:1 conversations * Own conversion process from intern to GTP and return internship candidates * Participate in key Human Resources projects as assigned Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field is required * Ability to travel up to 40% during peak season * Must have capability to represent the company professionally and appropriately within the university relations and on-campus in a national employment market. * Excellent collaboration and presentation skills (both oral and written). * Essential successful attributes: ability to influence throughout an organization from Sr. Leaders to Collegiate Hires; strong work ethic and comfort in navigating through complex programs and systems; attention to detail while managing multiple priorities; and the ability to work across various departments and develop deep internal business partnerships.
