Role Synopsis:

The Global Talent Acquisition Program Manager will have responsibility and general oversight of university relations, including intern programs, coop programs, building strategic university partnerships and assisting with the rotational program, military relations and programs, domestic and international mobility, diversity and inclusion initiatives as they relate to talent acquisition, employment branding efforts and other projects and programs as they arise.

Reporting to the Director of Global Talent Acquisition, the program manager ensures stakeholder engagement and satisfaction, anticipates, tracks, manages, and communicates changes, risks, and mitigation actions associated with program delivery, and works collaboratively with a wide range of people and functions. In this position you will provide prioritization and business strategy guidance around roadmap development as well as balancing budget/resource optimization within prioritization exercises.

In addition to the program management, this role may also be directly involved with other HR related projects whether they will lead or participate as a member.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Developing and working towards completion of domestic and global HR programs, in collaboration with stakeholders and functional HR teams

  • Executing programs and processes relating to new and remote sites, M&As, special projects, etc. with a focus on improving the candidate and employee experience

  • Assisting with periodic program reviews and communicating issues and decisions to the team

  • Producing accurate and timely reports of projects status throughout their life cycle

  • Coordinating the project team's deliverables and collaborations with internal and external organizations, suppliers, etc., as required

  • Using various evaluation methods to assess projects risks and areas for improvement

  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including employee experience and engagement, cost, quality and team performance

  • Participating in activities such as resource alignment, process improvements, and project prioritization

  • Develop project plans for both short-term and long-term results creating a roadmap with meaningful milestones

  • Consult with various leaders to identify desired future state, using visioning tools, and then develop and execute comprehensive project plans that range in complexity from program development, implementation and ongoing administration

  • Perform gap analysis on current state and desired outcomes; develop and maintain project plans to address gaps, drive the outcomes, track milestones and identify interdependencies

  • Educate internal clients on change management best practices to ensure successful execution and implementation of programs and initiatives

  • Collaborate with corporate communications and marketing on overall communication plans, messaging and delivery

  • Utilize technology where practical to create excellence in execution with a focus on ensuring high quality outcomes and positive user experiences for new programs

  • Help to identify, measure, and track employee engagement-related KPIs creating scorecards to help leaders assess required progress and actions to drive the initiatives

  • Design, build and implement innovative university and trade school recruitment campaigns, identifying strategic sources for talent

  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks

  • Build and deepen relationships with target universities and technical schools (including placement offices, faculty, administration, and students) on a regional and national level

  • Create and implement a social media strategy for identifying and building relationships with prospective talent

  • Manage the recruiting and selection process for graduate and undergraduate summer interns, as well as new college graduates and coops

  • Build relationships with all levels of management, understand their business needs, and communicate regularly on status of applicable HR programs

  • Align campus and trade school talent acquisition strategy to short and long term business needs

  • Develop creative ways to increase the company's brand and profile

  • Coordinate and attend campus site visits, job fairs, speaking events, etc.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for HRBPs, campus teams and hiring managers - orienting them to the college process (e.g. calendars, roles and responsibilities) and assisting them in building the infrastructure (e.g. campus teams, coordinators, etc.)

  • Partner w/assigned business groups to ensure demand planning is done on a timely basis, and serve as a trusted business advisor/SME on recruiting topics

  • Establish and track metrics for all programs' success and provide analysis to make recommendations for improvements

  • Partner with internal and external SMEs on immigration and relocation policies and best practices; involving all necessary stakeholders and documenting as processes and policies when required

  • Oversee our military recruiting program, developing a strategy with key influencers within the company to further Ascend's efforts to employ those who have served us in the armed forces; staying informed of and leveraging programs which are beneficial to veterans and the company

  • Assist with workforce planning preparedness; gathering info, analysing metrics and other assistance as needed

  • Document processes, procedures and policies as needed

  • Assist with various projects as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 10+ years of program management or university recruiting management experience minimum within the applicable or related industry

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to successfully manage a through influence

  • Excellent follow-up and attention to detail, facilitation of superior communications with management

  • Professional demeanor and strong business acumen required

  • Experience interacting at all levels of organizations

  • Strong ability to multi-task, handling multiple complex projects at the same time

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, with an emphasis is data integrity

  • Experience following compliance process and procedure

  • Must be willing and able to travel 25-50% of the time

  • Strong business sense and ability to understand and communicate key business drivers

  • Strong mental agility to keep pace, adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workload

  • Strong client partnering skills

  • Ability to anticipate and manage change and recommend solutions

  • Proven analytical capabilities; experience developing audit reports and metrics decks

  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and metrics

  • Ability to independently handle multiple projects and competing priorities across a diverse set of stakeholders and be flexible to help cover other HR tasks they arise

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary

  • Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures across geographically distributed teams

  • Proficiency in MS Excel

  • Serve as the "hub" for all HR program details and schedules

  • Develop content strategy and calendar of main Human Resources programs and initiatives

  • Ensure HR content is consistent with Marketing and brand messaging Required Skills
