Job Description

This hybrid position offers mix of working in person at Ruan Center downtown Des Moines and remote.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours.

Manage the talent acquisition process for corporate positions, playing a crucial role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent. Responsible for partnering with the hiring manager to establish recruiting strategy, advertising, mining for talent, selecting top candidates, and on-boarding.

Responsibilities:

Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Facilitates position intake meetings with hiring leaders to determine position requirements and develop recruiting strategy.

  • Leverage recruiting platforms and strategies to develop candidate pipeline and market Ruan opportunities. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.

  • Consult with leaders and provide guidance in the selection and hiring process to ensure legal compliance.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

  • Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidate's skills, experience, and fit for available positions. Build and maintain relationships with candidates, providing guidance and support throughout the recruitment process.

  • Establish a strategy for high school and college recruiting. Build direct working relationships with local schools, colleges, and universities.

  • Manage job postings and applicant tracking systems to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process. Provide regular updates to clients and candidates on the status of their applications and communicate feedback effectively.

  • Develop metrics and assess recruiting outcomes. Determine and implement process improvements.

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Requirements

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

Course(s) of Study: Degree in Business, Human Resources, or Organized Development

Experience: 6 - 9 years

Type of Experience: Direct experience evaluating recruiting process, making recommendations, and implementing changes to broad audience.

  • Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do.

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of employment law, ability to present new recruiting concepts to executive leadership and technical communities.

  • Must have strong initiative, solid judgment, analytical skills, and ability to assess and evaluate effectiveness of programs, processes, and procedures, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

  • Requires ability to network and develop good working relationships with leaders and outside organizations and experience communicating effectively with employees at all organizational levels.

  • Must be professional, credible, and possess articulate presentation skills, delivered with interactive presentation methods.

  • Needs good computer skills using Microsoft office products and other applications and software.

  • Must have ability to lead and motivate others to accomplish department and company goals.

  • Requires successful track record of finding solutions and gaining cooperation with employees and management.

  • Needs good negotiation skills. Must demonstrate professional behavior. Needs to instill confidence with knowledge, experience, and presentation skills.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to deliver results.

  • Requires ability and willingness to learn and develop skills in the Human Resource field.

  • Must have experience and willingness to learn operation issues and challenges in the field.
