We are seeking a highly motivated early career Talent Acquisition Partner (TAP) within Oak Ridge National Laboratory's (ORNL) Talent Acquisition and Global Mobility Division. Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Source, screen, interview, and recommend scientific and technical talent for Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

  • Align with company policy, EEO, OFCCP, ADA, and Affirmative Action guidelines in the screening and hiring process.

  • Work with other TAPs and hiring managers to identify current and future staffing vacancies and to assess required talent and skills to meet staffing needs.

  • Identify and recommend most qualified candidates by applying knowledge of technical roles and market availability.

  • Personalize the recruitment and selection processes for candidates.

  • Provide support to TAPs during the offer process.

  • Travel to recruiting events, conferences, and career fairs as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree along with a working knowledge of standard recruiting policies, practices, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior technical recruitment experience supporting a research, scientific, or engineering field.

  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory.

  • Ability to understand and articulate technical position requirements with candidates.

  • Excellent PC Skills, proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.) with a general understanding of PC operations and applications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email and in-person.

  • Demonstrated skills in relationship building, customer support, and the ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships.

  • Strong listening and creative thinking skills.

  • Knowledge of external recruiting policies, practices, and trends.

  • Ability to be positive, courteous, and capable of maintaining a professional attitude under pressure.

  • Recruiting knowledge of OFCCP compliance procedures.

  • Ability to obtain company travel card for approved career fairs, conferences, and other events.

  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever-changing needs.
