Summary/Objective

We have an immediate need for a temporary Talent Acquisition Manager, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external).

Essential Functions

  • Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs.

  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.

  • Able to passively and actively source.

  • Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.

  • Develops new strategies and programs to attract candidates.

  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.

  • Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.

  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.

  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.

  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).

  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources.

  • At least four years of prior recruiting experience.

  • Experience with high volume recruiting.

  • Comfortable recruiting for all levels of positions.

  • Hospitality, Restaurant and/or Hotel experience preferred.

  • Familiar and comfortable with HRIS and ATS.

  • Experience in a demanding, fast-paced, startup work environment.

  • Highly organized and process-oriented.

About the Position: Brookfield is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to join the Human Resources Team. Based in New York City, this position offers an excellent opportunity in a dynamic environment for an individual with a "hands-on" approach. The TA Manager will be responsible for recruitment activity across various Brookfield lines of business and corporate functions. In addition to individual position recruitment, this person will be part of the global Talent Acquisition team and will participate in the development of recruitment programs to meet the growing needs of the organization. Responsibilities: * Creatively source candidates for positions, utilizing a variety of recruitment channels such as employee referrals, direct sourcing, Internet applications and recruitment agencies * Evaluate resumes, interview and present qualified candidates to hiring managers and solicit feedback on candidates to refine recruiting strategy as applicable * Partner with the hiring managers to create, edit and post job descriptions to internal and external job search sites * Oversee the coordination and scheduling of interviews, together with an HR coordinator * Gather and present market data on hiring trends and market compensation * Establish strong relationships with internal employees and hiring managers to foster a partnership throughout the interview process * Ensure positive candidate experience with frequent and timely communication throughout recruitment process * Act as a brand ambassador for Brookfield; educate candidates on the culture, career growth, benefits and many advantages of working for Brookfield * Understand diversity goals for each business and support the strategy to meet these goals * Conduct compensation conversations with both Human Resources and hiring managers to ensure internal and external equity * Track and report on recruiting metrics to determine efficiencies and areas for improvement – provide updates to senior management Requirements: * 7-10 years of recruitment experience working in-house at a multi-national financial company and/or or with a recruitment agency focused on the financial sector * The ideal candidate would have focused on Experienced Hire recruiting in Private Equity, Investment Management, Investment Banking or Professional Services * Track record of working independently to manage the end-to-end recruiting process in a fast paced, high volume environment * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build solid relationships and trust with senior leaders, through value-added execution * "Roll up your sleeve" mentality, no task too large or too small * High energy, proactive and self motivated * Excellent verbal/written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills * Demonstrate a sense of urgency and attention to detail * Innovative, creative and results oriented * Experience with executive compensation and long term incentive plans is a plus At Brookfield, we care about your privacy and strive to protect Applicant Data throughout the recruitment process.
