Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Manager effectively and strategically executes a talent management plan to attract high level candidates to Fessler & Bowman. This role will directly lead and coach the Talent Acquisition Team to build out the recruitment strategy, target passive candidates, and ensure a smooth and transparent recruitment process. A crucial part of the HR Team, the TA Manager will collaborate with HR Department leaders to deploy initiatives and support Fessler and Bowman Team Members. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities for this position.

Five Key Roles of the Talent Acquisition Manager:

  • Ensure all Talent Acquisition team members are the right people in the right seats and are supported in their daily functions. This should include recurring monthly one-on-one meetings, delivery of constructive feedback, completion of performance reviews, accountability in rock completion, and inspiring their growth.

  • Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies aligned with organizational goals and workforce planning needs.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and provide information to leadership as it relates to strategic recruitment efforts, company offerings, etc. to ensure Fessler & Bowman offers a competitive career choice.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze recruitment metrics and trends to optimize processes and track key performance indicators.

  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships with local candidate sources (unions, associations, trade schools, colleges, and universities), including managing job fairs and recruiting events.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Full Lifecycle Recruitment: Source, review resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates to ensure they meet job requirements and cultural fit. After identifying a candidate, create offers and facilitate the acceptance process, including negotiations.

  • Candidate Experience Management: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from application to onboarding.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations in recruitment activities.

  • Talent Sourcing: Utilize various channels such as job boards, social media, networking, and referrals to source top talent

  • Talent Pipelines: Maintain a pool of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.

  • Timely Hiring: Meet or exceed recruitment targets and timelines.

  • Quality of Hire: Ensure the quality of hires through effective screening and evaluation processes.

  • Recruitment Metrics: Provide regular reports on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate satisfaction.

  • Efficient Processes: Continuously improve recruitment processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Proactively manage all aspects of the Talent Acquisition Team.

  • Ensure all HR onboarding tasks and paperwork are complete and accurate prior to the new hires' start date. Coordinate first-day details with the HR team and Hiring Manager.

  • Employer Branding: Enhance the employer brand through compelling messaging, positive candidate experiences, and employer branding initiatives.

  • Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop job descriptions, and provide guidance on the selection process

  • Formulate and execute a diversity talent attraction strategy in line with key business objectives.

  • Collaborates with Regional HR Manager and HR Director on continuous process improvement and strategic projects within the Human Resources function.

  • Forecasting needs of the business and communicating it to the HRBP/Regional HR Manager for budget approval and validation.

  • Targeting competitors to source and attract passive qualified candidates.

  • Update, monitor, and maintain the Applicant Tracking System by ensuring all data is up to date, candidates have been contacted and dispositioned accordingly, and the historical records are accurate for future review.

  • Supports the Company's commitment to EEO and Affirmative Action strategy and compliance

  • Develop written communications in Spanish, including job ads, new hire paperwork, policies, etc.

  • Communicating and upholding the Company's commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics.

  • Other relevant tasks as assigned.

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred

  • 8 years of recruiting experience required

  • Prior management and leadership experience required

  • Experience in construction and agency recruiting preferred

  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Travel:

Travel is required for recruiting purposes- this could include, but is not limited to, career fairs, union halls, job sites and regional offices. F&B will compensate for travel when applicable.

Work Environment:

As a Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be subject to various work environments. These environments include office and field settings. Employee must be comfortable with sitting for an extended period.
