RECRUITER: THE POSITION

POSITION SUMMARY: The Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, including recruiting screening, and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (both internal and external.) Responsible for all facets of recruiting throughout an assigned region. This position will work closely with Talent Acquisition Managers, other People Services team members, and local management to develop recruiting plans and sourcing strategies, fill vacancies in a timely manner, and design processes to attract, hire, and retain qualified employees. This position is also responsible for educating and training personnel on pertinent recruiting processes and systems.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • For a given market area, in cooperation with key functional hiring managers, establish and validate recruiting requirements by assessing and reviewing organizational needs. Determine applicant requirements by analyzing job descriptions, job qualifications and established company policies. Create and update job descriptions as needed.

  • Oversee full-cycle hiring and onboarding processes from offer acceptance to employee start date.

  • Fully proficient with applicant tracking software as function as Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing support in all aspects to include troubleshooting, reporting, providing user advice, acting as liaison with Corporate HR or any other entities, and conducting individualized or group training.

  • Assess applicant qualifications by screening applicant documentation, interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and verifying applicant-provided information comparing qualifications to job requirements. Following applicant assessment, make a decision regarding candidate fit, and refer for next level interviews.

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies by determining and implementing appropriate sourcing solutions that include but are not limited to:

  • direct candidate engagements ANYWHERE where valued candidates may be present;

  • job fairs, self-sponsored or partner-sponsored, open houses, etc.

  • local networks such as educational including high schools, tech schools, community colleges;

  • exiting military;

  • community and minority groups;

  • traditional job posting and all possible technology-based solutions;

  • all forms of media including radio and social media; and,

  • staffing and contingent workforce agencies.

  • Performs to recruiting performance KPI's, assess recruiting effectiveness, determine appropriate improvement solutions and report results to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Determine and develop stakeholder recruitment-related training needs and conduct relevant training.

  • Assist applicants with the execution of applicant-related documents developed via the online applicant tracking system.

  • Facilitate the exit interview process, analyze information collected, and develop appropriate actions and offer solutions designed to reduce employee turnover and increase retention.

  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding and following current regulations and legislation.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • High competency in marketing and motivational communication skills

  • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks or projects and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office

  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelors degree preferred with a concentration in human resources, marketing, business or sales. High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of of high-volume recruiting experience; greater than 1 year preferred.

  • HRIS software and ATS Experience

  • Ability to travel up to 50% requiring some overnight trips and may include some weekend recruiting-related activity

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE USED:

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Company system applications (Applicant Tracking System)

  • Usual office equipment including a computer, phone, fax machine, copier, and a calculator.

  • Other software as applicable

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Typical office environment working as part of a functional team.

  • Customer plant facilities and other field environments

  • Travel to area office locations

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Normal office requirements such as sitting while working on computer, typing, answering phones and light lifting. Travel will be required and the ability to ride in a vehicle for extended periods of time required.
