Summary:
Support the Talent Acquisition function and be a strategic partner with the Business Unit (BU). You'll have the ability to impact hiring strategies, from sourcing candidates, coordinating communications, managing the internal process, employment agencies, placing employment ads in appropriate sources, ensuring the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the T/A process, including EEO statistics, partnering with Universities and/or Technical Schools to support and develop workforce pipelines, and assisting in the onboarding process. This is a full cycle Talent Acquisition role in which you will have an immediate impact on the team and on the growth of GD-OTS!
Major Position Responsibilities
Strategically and proactively sources passive and active candidates to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs
Understands external labor market conditions
Leverages effective, economical, and appropriate sources/channels and methods
Builds and maintains relationships with potential candidates, recruitment agencies and associations
Plans and coordinates participation in career fairs to generate a source of qualified potential candidates
Reviews resumes and contacts candidates to ascertain fit and interest and refers to hiring managers as appropriate
Extends offers and negotiates compensation
May participate in onboarding and facilitate new employee orientation
Provides support in planning and strategizing future workforce needs
Basic Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
2-4 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Human Resources or Business Administration
Bilingual - fluent in Spanish, written and verbal
Experience in a dynamic full-cycle staffing environment
Employment law and authorization
Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools
Experience and understanding of HRIS systems (i.e. PeopleSoft)
Experience in Talent Acquisition Systems (i.e. iCIMS)
Human Resources Certifications PHR and/or SHRM-CP
HR experience in a manufacturing environment, including multi-shift organizations and locations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read and assess candidate profiles to make accurate, efficient decisions in hiring
Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
Negotiation skills
Candidate experience delivery
Looks for ways to improve and promote operational excellence and partner with Operations leadership
Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to re-prioritize and quickly adapt to changes
Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety

Decisions are guided by policy, procedures and business plan
Other Requirements:
Must be willing to work flexible hours when needed
Conduct thorough phone screens / interviews to gauge candidates skills / abilities as well as make sure they have an understanding of the job duties, culture, and expectations
Sourcing candidates from internal and external Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and multiple job boards to acquire the best talent for a multitude of teams and roles
Professional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent meetings and presentations
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25-50%
