Primary Purpose This position's primary responsibility is providing a candidate-focused experience while managing the full life cycle recruitment for Physicians and Executives. Within this role the incumbent works in a highly collaborative manner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to ensure an adequate complement of physicians in accordance with the needs and goals of the hospital and medical staff. Assists with assessing the immediate and long-term need for physicians and services for the hospital; assists with developing strategies for attracting a proper mix of healthcare practitioners to the area. Provides support marketing and advertising services for physicians in alignment with the strategic plan for that practice. Incumbents represent Parkland at recruitment events, network, recruit and build relationships with potential candidates. The position works closely with hiring leaders in creating skilled and diverse candidate pools and assists in making the best hiring decision for each search. Practices appropriate hiring through a thorough understanding and compliance of employment law relating to hiring. Manages all information in the applicant tracking software, following Parkland's procedures for hiring and dispositioning candidates within timelines outlined in department SLAs. Effectively recommends salary offers in alignment with Parkland's compensation philosophy.

Minimum Specifications

Education

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree; preferred in business administration or human resources.

  • Master's degree preferred.

Experience

  • 4-years of recruitment experience

  • Bachelor's degree required or 2 additional years of recruitment experience. Recruitment experience is defined as - job posting, sourcing candidates, resume review, interview process management, offer process management and onboarding.

  • 2-years of the recruitment experience must be in Physician/APP recruitment or 3-years of Parkland recruitment experience

  • Proven track record in: Participating in the design, implementation and management of recruitment plans and initiatives Peer and leader communication Understanding and complying with recruiting regulations, policies and procedure Utilizing ATS tools to manage the recruiting process Delivering staffing results Creating/building effective relationship Utilizing internal and external recruitment data and trends to manage work, provide sourcing options and make recruitment recommendations

Equivalent Education and/or Experience

  • Four (4) years of additional work experience may be substitute for minimum education requirement for a total of ten (10) years of related experience.

Certification/Registration/Licensure

  • Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) desired.

  • Development Dimensions International (DDI) Target Selection Interviewer and Trainer certification preferred.

  • Must possess the ability to maintain ongoing knowledge of Parkland policy and procedures, federal and state laws regarding employment practices and provide updates to Talent Acquisition, HR Staff and department leadership.

  • Must possess the ability to develop and maintain a strategic relationship with clients, HR Business Partners, Leadership & Organizational Development, and other HR functions.

  • Must possess the ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable and professional manner on the phone and in person; and demonstrate the use of good written and verbal communication skills

  • Must possess the ability to interact with peers, executives, and others in a manner that represents Parkland positively.

  • Must possess the ability to learn and apply new information, knowledge and experiences in a timely manner.

  • Must possess the ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.

  • Must possess the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects and to prioritize.

  • Prefer familiarity with PeopleSoft Talent Acquisition/Management solution.

Responsibilities

1.Leverages established business relationships to advise and consult c-suite, department leaders and hiring managers staffing strategies throughout hiring process.

2.Leverages data-based metrics to identify trends in the talent acquisition process; utilizes information to advise/consult business leaders on opportunities to improve their talent acquisition process.

3.Monitor and ensure 100% compliance of hiring process activities and resolve any discrepancies that may arise prior to completion of the hiring process

4.Proactively support the onboarding and development of new and less skilled Talent Acquisition Partners through best practice sharing and process validation to ensure success in role and customer satisfaction.

5.Serves as point of contact for hiring managers and candidates throughout hiring process.

6.Develops and implements effective and efficient recruiting strategies.

7.Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria

8.Develops appropriate screening criteria to assess resumes and applications

9.Conducts phone screens to assess candidate skills, experience, salary requirements, availability and interest for staff roles.



  1. Demonstrated ability to schedule candidate interviews and facilitates post interview calibration meetings to further identify finalist candidates for positions.

  2. Conduct regular follow-up meetings with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation in order to maintain reputation and satisfaction levels

  3. Validates all online applications for accuracy.

  4. Ensures that all candidate statuses are documented consistently throughout the life-cycle.

  5. Works with HR Business Partner and hiring managers to understand client departments' objectives and anticipates staffing needs.

  6. Develops and executes tactical sourcing strategies aimed at generating candidate flow to meet overall recruiting goals.

  7. Plan sourcing strategy according to market demand using all available databases, job boards, internet searches and referral campaigns via phone, email and social media avenues in order to establish relationships and grow the network of qualified Physicians/Providers for current or future open positions to identify active and passive candidates.

  8. Build and maintain a skilled and diverse pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities.

  9. Consult Physicians/Providers on their current situation and ideal situation, probing for unspoken needs using a consultative selling style in order to gain commitment to take urgent action on the available opportunities.

  10. Exceeds individual daily and weekly critical indicator goals in order to consistently meet production standards.

  11. May utilize the services of employment agencies.
