Responsibilities

Raytheon is looking for an experienced Radio Communications Technician who would provide journeyman/full-performance level program management, administrative and engineering support for Sponsor communications-based projects.

Required Skills

  • Five (5) or more years direct experience with Sponsor tactical communications projects and design involving RF/Satellite communications, including ICOM/Motorola/Harris equipment and its use.

  • Direct experience with sponsor systems including BASIS, GENESIS, approval memos and message preparation.

  • Solid background in and understanding of current installation procedures (CIP) and field training of personnel.

  • Ability to explain technical procedures and processes and results of site surveys clearly and accurately.

  • Strong knowledge of tactical systems

  • Ability to completely understand and respond to customers comprehensive tactical requirements

  • Ability to give details to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to adhere to security and safety standards, counter-intelligence and applicable communications policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of procurement processes

  • Ability to independently perform specialized equipment and system installations, modifications, and upgrades.

  • Ability to test, identify, and resolve most tier 1 and tier 2 equipment and system problems

  • Willingness to perform extended TDYs in dangerous/hostile environments

  • Ability to be medically and administratively cleared for travel

  • Ability to successfully qualify for weapons training

  • Working knowledge of policies and regulations related to the completion of assigned work

  • Ability to excel in a team environment

  • Ability to work at heights and successfully complete Fall Protection training.

Additional Requirements
50% OCONUS travel, including hazard areas as required.
10% CONUS travel, as required.

VIEW JOBS 4/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-18T00:00 Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Communications Analyst to support the preparation and publication of Tactical Data Link message standards (communication protocols), including U.S. Joint, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and other Allied Information Standards and Technical Operating Procedures for Tactical Data Link (TDL) communication systems. Provide technical and administrative support for TDL configuration management activities. This support includes editing, recommending changes, and producing evaluations of change proposals. Requires performing detailed technical and administrative analysis of proposed changes to the TDL and related standards, providing support for various meetings of technical experts, and providing technical support to government personnel. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. * Experience with Tactical Data Link (TDL) or similar messaging system protocols and formatting. * Active DoD Secret Clearance. * Strong technical writing, communication, and analytical skills. * Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. * Position may require up to 30% travel to customer locations CONUS and OCONUS (i.e. England, Germany, etc) Preferred Qualifications: Military or civilian experience with tactical military communications systems, air defense systems, command and control, or air operations. * Understanding of configuration management (CM), particularly with regards to military standards and documentation. * JT-101 (JTIDS 101) and/or JT-102 (Multi-TDL Advanced Joint Interoperability Course (MAJIC)) course certification is a plus. * Active DoD Top Secret Clearance is a plus.
