Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a Tactical Communications (TACCOMS) Systems Integration Manager to join our team in support of the Air Operations Center Weapon System (AOC WS) Long-Term Modification and Sustainment (LTM&S) program. The position is located in Hampton, Virginia, at the US Air Force customer site.

This team lead position requires TACCOMS engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in TACCOMS systems integration of complex communications systems at the scale of a large operations center in a program with global reach in addition to leadership and management of small teams working TACCOMS issues. The successful candidate will lead a small team of TACCOMS technologists directly supporting the AOC Production Center (PC). This team lead will also lead and manage the team across the spectrum of supervision required to meet the team's required performance goals. This team and this lead will be responsible for the full integration of TACCOMS systems into the AOC to meet the system requirements.

The successful candidate will employ effective communication skills in face-to-face interactions with customers and other contractors, the team members, and lateral teams. The candidate must be able to work TACCOMS issues independently, as well as collaborate in a team or working group setting. Domestic and international travel is required with expected travel at 10%.

The successful candidate will be working closely with other PC team members and supporting day-to-day technical execution including:

  • Engage with key commercial product vendors and government providers of TACCOMS systems currently on, or are prospective candidates for, the AOC WS baseline.

  • Be aware and learn of future technologies, development plans, schedules, and other details relevant to AOC WS TACCOMS baseline sustainment planning.

  • Contribute from a TACCOMS perspective, structured communications systems data information and integration planning to support the AOC WS.

  • Support various working groups as a SME where baseline changes impact the TACCOMS structure in the AOS WS.

  • Conduct maintenance of a prioritized backlog of TACCOMS projects.

  • Provide integration support for program fielding efforts to accommodate site unique configuration requirements.

Required Skills:

  • DoD Secret Clearance

  • Current Security+

  • Demonstrated understanding of TACCOMS technologies and systems relevant to the multi-domain baseline, including networking, computing, storage, and virtualization.

  • Proven successful implementation of interfaces, hardware, software, and input/output parameters of communications systems.

  • Experience in supporting the preparation of either management-level documentation or technical documentation.

  • Proven written and oral communication skills.

  • Proven management/supervisory skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment.

  • Familiarity with relevant DoD requirements for communications system operations in an integration program.

  • Hands-on TACCOMS systems administration experience on at least one relevant AOC baseline system.

  • Practical implementation of agile best-practices applied system development or systems integration projects. This includes participation in related activities such as sprint planning, scrum, backlog grooming, retrospective, etc.

  • Detailed system knowledge and experience in a technical role supporting key DoD TACCOMS or commercial product systems on the AOC baseline.

  • Experience using automation tools and metrics in managing processes.

  • Experience in conducting trade studies.

Required Education:

BS in a relevant engineering, math, or hard science field with 6 years of related work experience

OR
14 years relevant experience.

While the majority of work is directly in support of LaRC, other industry partners and Government agencies may be supported at remote sites as directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). The Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering (CMOE) contract comprises of three major categories of work- operations, maintenance, and engineering (OME), as described below. * Maintenance- Research and institutional facility maintenance includes, but not limited to, preventive maintenance, trouble calls, repairs, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Facility Condition Assessment (FCA), and maintenance/ operation of central utilities (e.g., electrical power distribution, potable water, storm water drainage) •Operations- Facilities Operations support includes, but not limited to, wind tunnels, laboratories, and test stands testing, instrumentation calibration/repair; plant and utilities (e.g., high pressure air, Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) and Steam Plant); technology development and administration, including, but not limited to, Facility Automation Systems (FAS) and Data Acquisition Systems (DAS) •Engineering- Facility engineering includes, but not limited to, engineering studies, design, construction, construction management, configuration management, tactical engineering, pressure system recertification, project management/planning support. Responsibilities: * System Administration support of workstations, servers, and the related network configurations. BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and three (3) to five (5) years of progressive, relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications.
