What would I be doing?

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring and controlling an area of a pit consisting of one or more games to assure the delivery of customer service according Penn National Gaming standards, while maintaining the integrity of the games. This position is responsible for enforcing the various policies and procedures required of the Table Games Supervisor position.

  • Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.

  • Assumes overall responsibility for the effective gaming service activities for a designated area.

  • Maintains constant awareness of activities of all games in assigned locations in order to observe and act appropriately in the event of any suspicious or irregular activity.

  • Controls and directs games in progress by monitoring and providing assistance and dealer correction.

  • Maintains awareness of how each game stands with respect to player limits, special customers, gains/losses, and dealer performance.

  • Oversees and assures high standards of customer courtesy on each game and works closely with Special Events, Players Club and other casino staff members in this regard.

  • Responsible for accurately filling out pit documents such as fill slips, rating cards,

  • MTLs/CTRs, markers, inventory slips, etc. according to Boomtown's guidelines.

  • Provides and monitors on-the-job training for Dealers to ensure staff receives adequate guidance, resources, and information for adequate job performance.

  • Provides input in hiring, termination of employees, pay increases, promotions or demotions and employee performance appraisals.

  • Appraises work situations; directs, delegates, schedules and organizes work crews to accomplish all assigned job functions.

What are we looking for?

  • Sound technical understanding of games manuals, policies, procedures, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate or supervise the work of others.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of policies and procedures of games supervised, as well as knowledge of and ability to identify various cheating techniques. Sound verbal and written skills.

  • Completion of a wide variety of specific games training programs with resulting proficiency in several pit games.

  • These skills and abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of two years' multi-game dealing experience.

  • Minimum of three years Games experience, one of which must have been in supervision.

  • Demonstrated management skills including leadership.

This includes coaching and training associates, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage at all times. The Sales Floor Dept Supervisor has responsibility for both customer facing activities (e.g., greeting customer, clarifying needs and identifying solutions, closing sales) and non-facing activities (e.g., downstocking, inventory management, area recovery). The individual in this role ensures his/her area of the store is in-stock and customer ready at all times while inspiring engaging, customer-focused behavior and driving his/her team to achieve sales and margin goals. The Sales Floor Dept Supervisor must keep management informed, delegate and follow-up on daily tasks, and maintain a clean, safe and secure work environment. In addition to supervising associates in his/her own area, the Sales Floor Dept Supervisor must lead associates in other departments, as needed, to meet the demands of the store. This requires broad product knowledge and the ability to engage associates and customers across departments. In addition to the responsibilities summarized above, individuals in this role may occasionally open or close the store, or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD). NOTE: The Pro Department Supervisor is responsible for all that is described above while supporting the unique service and merchandising needs of Pro customers. This includes driving execution of Pro sales and service strategy throughout the store, taking lead on the store s top Pro accounts, and coaching/training Pro associates in the store to effectively drive Pro sales and ensure the desired Pro customer experience is delivered. Job Requirements This is an hourly full time role generally scheduled 39 to 40 hours; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store. Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Requires physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise with or without a reasonable accommodation.
