Prepares, develops and coordinates the site master plan and site master schedule to meet all program objectives for

Long-Term Down Aircraft. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically

integrated across company functional groups including, engineering, material, maintenance, and quality. Tracks plans

and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone

charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance

variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Performs technical analytics and report generation using

various computer systems and associated programs.

Designs, determines, and illustrates repair production sequence;

Creates work planning and work process drawings, catalogs, flow charts, and other data relative to aircraft build, removal,

replacement and reinstallation actions; Establishes forecast and coordinates a schedule for long term down aircraft return

to service; Maintains and/or completes required records and files;

Must be capable of preparing aircraft modification/alteration/repair presentations; Prepares and presents Planning &

Estimate reports;

Must work in harmony with other employees; Must be capable of effective daily liaison with site, program, and corporate

management; Coordinates daily with site/program supply personnel to ensure up to date status of logistical support

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills;

Must be capable of maintaining effective liaison with Government Representatives, OEM, Vendors, and other employees,

Education Requirement

Bach 2yrs experience, or Assoc 6yrs experience, or HS Dip 10yrs experience

Must have five (5) years experience in a mechanical / technical / logistical position related to aircraft maintenance and

material support, preferably with the T-45 aircraft and operations. Must have current knowledge of COMNAVAIRINST 4790 Series Programs, NALCOMIS Familiarization, ORM, ISO 9100 and AS9110 Programs.

Must possess extensive working knowledge of contracted programs, company organization and policies. Familiarity with aircraft structural and electrical systems, tools, drawings, schematics and aviation/industrial safety requirements is a plus. Must have extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office Programs. This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities

required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an

environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be

exposed to electrical shock hazards.

All work is performed in accordance with applicable manufacturer maintenance manuals, Company directives and other approved data. May be required to handle hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties. A good working knowledge of assigned aircraft maintenance and parts manual. Familiarization with OPNAV 4790.2 Series and other applicable Navy Instructions, Manufacturer Manuals and Company Instructions. Knowledge of materials used and safety precautions as applicable to usage. Must have valid state operators license and be able to pass the Government licensing requirements. Must be able to read, speak, write legibly and understand the English language. Must be customer oriented. Essential Duties and Accountabilities: Maintain assigned engines in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer and Company Instructions. Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks. Read, interpret, and apply instructions from Blueprints, schematics and other approved data. Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials and equipment as required. Document work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF) or OOMA/WECMS System. Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area. Performs aircraft inventory, acceptance and transfer inspections. Provides technical assistance and guidance as required by the position. Assists in P&E report preparation. May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments. Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer and Company Instructions. Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations. Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program. Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities and job assignment. Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment. Maintain Appropriate records of all work accomplished. May be required to perform simple computer input functions. Perform corrosion control cleaning and removal as required utilizing cleaning and removal as required utilizing appropriate safety precautions. May be required to remove and/or install access doors, panels, and cowlings to perform the duties of the job classification. Assist when directed to ensure safety, security and preservation of government owned and company owned equipment. Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification. Must be able to perform other duties as assigned. Must be willing and able to stand rotating shifts. Must be able to travel 10% of the time. Must be able to attain (within 6 months of start date) and maintain all necessary security clearances required for this position. Training: Every 45 days required minimum of one (1) aircraft engine turn. Aircraft systems review annually during quarterly safety stand downs. Annual NATOPS open/closed book examinations (ground related procedures/emergencies) Observe two (2), and then successfully conduct two (2) Engine Turn-ups with a military FCF pilot using all appropriate checklists in accordance with the NATOPS Flight Manual for the T-45 Aircraft. Observe three (3), then successfully conduct three (3) Engine wash/rinses with military FCF pilot using all appropriate checklists and pre-flight procedures in accordance with the NATOPS Flight Manual for the T-45 Aircraft. Qualification Standards: Powerplant Mechanics shall have three (3) years within the last six years practical experience in the specialty of Powerplant Mechanic. Powerplant mechanics shall be qualified according to their field of Powerplant Maintenance and the level of maintenance assigned, i.e., "O" Level or "I" Level. Experience shall include maintenance, repair, alignment, calibration, operation, and functional test of engines and engine-related equipment. Powerplant Mechanics shall be capable of using ground support equipment relevant to this specialty; be familiar with the applicable aircraft, engines and have experience with military aircraft maintenance procedures and directives. Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces mechanic school or other schools with equivalent curriculum or three (3) years of on the job training and/or experience required. Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. Must be able to obtain the level of security clearance required by the Government. Physical Demands: This classification activity is usually accomplished in a hangar/shop/flight line environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities.
