HDR is currently in need of a Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Construction Manager to work as a member of our rapidly growing construction group in Kansas City, MO.

Primary Responsibilities:

The T&D Construction Manager will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager with all facets of project execution including, but not limited to:

This position will be located in Kansas City, MO. Position Summary The Project Manager will have responsibility for delivery of CM services to Federal clients for new construction major modernization projects. Primary Responsibilities * Manage overall project delivery encompassing cost control, schedule oversight, quality assurance, risk management, and contract administration. * Manage design phase activity including engagement of technical disciplines in peer review and cost estimating services. * Monitor and document performance of construction. * Apply CM best practices and client processes to design, construction and commissioning stages. * Interface and coordinate with Government, A/E and Contractor team members. * Monitor construction performance and identify deviations from established schedules. * Interpret construction documents and certify that work is performed in accordance with the contract. * Administer payment requisitions, submittal and RFI processes. * Supervise CM support staff. * Identify potential Changes, prepare scopes of work, and estimate cost/schedule impacts. * Utilize electronic Project Management tools to record, track, analyze, and report project data. * Facilitate project meetings and lead teams focused on the resolution of project issues. * Prepare monthly executive-level progress reports and briefing materials. * Facilitate teamwork and collaboration to produce results and achieve client objectives. #biaffederal Qualifications * Degreed in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or other related discipline. * Progressive experience (10-15 years) as a Project Manager in an engineering, construction contracting, or construction management organization * Strong working knowledge of building construction, building systems and technology, contract management, project execution, team building and client relationship management. * Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Certified Construction Manager preferred. * Federal building construction experience preferred. * Ability to obtain a DHS (HSPD-12) security clearance is required. Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
