T-Certified Nursing Assistant Geriatrics

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate T-Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with experience in geriatrics to join our team. As a T-CNA specializing in geriatrics at NCG Associates, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to elderly patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide emotional support and companionship to geriatric patients
• Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
• Assist with feeding and medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
• Implement and maintain patient care plans
• Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner
• Observe and report any changes in patients' condition to the nurse
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and individualized care

Requirements

• Valid certification as a T-Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Previous experience in a geriatric care setting
• Knowledge and understanding of geriatric care principles and practices
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly patients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time
• Physical endurance and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Benefits

Location: Burlington, VT 

Pay Rate: $862.50-$937.50 Weekly depending on your experience 

Class/Area: CNA/GERI 

Desired Start Date: ASAP 

Length of Assignment: 8 wks 

Hours per Week: 37.5 

Shift and Time: 5X8, Varied 

Schedule Details:Full Time 

Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend 

On-call Requirements: No 

Holidays Requirements: As scheduled 

Floating Requirements: Must float to similar units 

Experience Required: 12 months experience in last 18 months Experience Preferred: PCC Charting 

License Required: VT State License 

Certificates Required: BLS
