Job Description:

This is a Systems/Software Quality Engineering position supporting the LM Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) F-35 Training and Logistics Systems (TS) Sustainment Program at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.

The position will be the primary interface with the F-35 Training Systems Support Center (TSSC) Program Manager and Training Systems Sustainment Quality Program Manager (QPM) on Systems/Software Quality Engineering work tasks/priorities. This position will functionally report to the F-35 Training and Logistics Market Segment Quality Manager. The individual in this position will need to learn/understand F-35 TS products, System/Software work scope, technical requirements, program risks, proposal support, customer interactions, Systems/Software Quality Engineering leadership, and deliver per schedule milestones.

The F-35 Delivery & Sustainment Quality Representative's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Systems/Software Quality Engineering Lead for all tasks and activities, generate and manage schedules that ensure coverage of all F-35 quality activities on site.

  • Main point of contact for customer, program office, and DCMA activities and requests.

  • Coordinate team efforts for all TSSC QA activity at multiple sites.

  • Support Global Mobile Training Team (GMTT) efforts, including possible travel, to work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and ensure appropriate QA training is delivered and provided to new domestic and international customer Quality Analysts at Level 2 TSSCs.

  • Provide inputs to the TSSC Lead to ensure sound labor estimates on Engineering Change Proposals and on-going proposal efforts.

  • Participate in and support the F-35 TS change control process boards.

  • Witness F-35 TS integration and test activities and formal quality testing.

  • Support security/information assurance activities.

  • Participate/interface with the engineering counterparts on program activities to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual requirements.

  • Identify root causes and associated corrective actions, evaluate process/product performance, perform audits.

  • Ability to evaluate data and provide solutions to systemic issues and trends.

  • Perform Earned Value practices on assigned budget to support cost account manager.

This position may require some domestic and international travel.

Basic Qualifications

1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Science or a related discipline, or any other degree with comparable Quality experience.

2.Experience in one or more of the following areas: statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma or root cause analysis.

3.Experience with details of individual aspects of the software lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Formal Testing, Integration & Testing, Release, Configuration Management, Problem Resolution).

4.Experience performing data analytics (e.g. statistical analysis and/or metrics).

5.Ability to lead across a variety of QA responsibilities and tasks on development and/or sustainment programs.

6.AS9100 knowledge, CMMI knowledge.

7.Proven audit experience.

8.Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

9.Familiarity with System & Software Engineering requirements, design, integration and test.

  1. Extensive understanding of software dependencies, development lifecycles, process flow and development methodologies.

This is an exciting and long term role located at Eglin AFB, FL. The Individual will be a Software Integration Engineer for the SEIC Contract in support of the Air Force Mission Planning Program Office and will be responsible for the following: Integration testing of various Mission Planning software products from multiple developer teams Creation and test of Windows Restore Images in support of mission planning products Creation of Virtual Machine (VM) environments for internal SEIC test activities and also for cloud based (remote user) test activities Assist in the development of a 'JMPS VM Farm' and management of the VM Farm in preparation for and execution of test events Direct interface with Gov't customers in reference to integration tasking and status Develop, test and distribute JMPS Mission Planning Baseline products. The successful candidate will be energetic, eager to learn and comfortable working in a peer-to-peer environment. A background in military aviation/mission planning is preferable but not required. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, highly disciplined organizational skills, a deep sense of problem-solving skills and perseverance in troubleshooting and solution verification. The candidate must have the capacity to reach out to a wide variety of resources for technical support and the ability to clearly communicate findings at varying technical levels The candidate must be adept at handling classified materials and be proficient in working across all classification tiers, distribution levels, and releasability requirements. Creation of classified products requires knowledge of encrypting data at rest, passphrase documentation, large file media creation, file verification, file hashing, secure internet protocol (SIPR) procedures, secure file tranfer, and chain of custody/purging requirements. Basic Qualifications Candidate must have US Citizenship Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD secret Clearance Candidate must have BS degree in computer science or equivalent field of study and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
