Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Systems Verification and Validation Engineer who is fueled by problem-solving, continuously curious, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and implement verification and validation (V&V) strategy, including implementation practices and processes

  • Work closely with NASA to integrate joint verification activities with the International Space Station

  • Manage customer-related integrated V&V plans. Assist V&V collaboration efforts both internally and externally

  • Establish and oversee verification requirements for subsystems and suppliers as part of the integrated V&V plan

  • Collaborate with system and subsystem engineers, program office personnel and customers for V&V planning, scheduling, and execution

  • Support the development and maintenance of requirements (both internal and external)

  • Prepare technical documentation and presentations for peers, management, and external customers and partners

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline)

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in spacecraft verification and validation activities, including V&V strategy development, planning and execution

  • A background in space systems engineering including an understanding of space vehicle design, space system architecture development, ground systems support, payloads, and space missions and operations development is desired

  • Detailed knowledge of spaceflight subsystems and functions is desired, preferably human spaceflight related experience

  • Experience with JAMA or other requirements management tool is desired

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills with experience communicating to decision-makers and technical audiences.

  • Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
