Q Analysts is looking for a Systems Test Engineer for one of our clients who is a glass systems manufacturer, headquartered in Milpitas, California. The Systems Test Engineer will play an important role in developing System Level test plans for new product applications.

The Test Engineer will work closely with our client in an agile environment (2 week sprints, shipping every 4 weeks). The QA teams are integrated from the start of the sprint, participating in development and test plans. You will collaborate with developers and product managers to understand what each product is meant to do. We'd like someone who can create a quality assurance process, for the Systems Testing.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Planning, documentation and execution of test plans / suites for cross platform applications in an agile based development environments. These include

Feature tests

Smoke tests

Pull the plug tests

Performance & Load tests

Work closely with Product Owners and Developers to ensure proper coverage of all requirements.

Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables

Applications include, but are not limited to, embedded firmware, web applications, mobile applications, data science and machine learning models

Champion & represent the customer for quality enforcement by validating features and system behaviors

Build Test automation and test frameworks for white box & black box testing

Integrate automated testing into the CI system to enable and improve the release train process

Be a key member of tier 3 support team to enable a dev-ops product team

Issue lifecycle management

Participate in Defect Review, Root Cause Analysis, and High Risk reviews

Co-ordinate with program management, Developers, QA leads and offshore teams

Prepare daily/weekly status reports and plan automation activities proactively
In addition you will need:

BS in Science / Engineering with 5+ years of related experience

Fluency in at least one scripting language is essential (e.g., Python, Java, etc.)

Proficiency with automation suites such as Selenium Webdriver, Jenkins

Strong analytic and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication & documentation skills

The candidate should relish the challenges of a fast-paced startup environment

Experience with the setup and use of test automation tools

Exposure to simulate and perform load testing
It will be great, if you have:

Experience with networking protocol stacks and mocking frameworks

Experience with Postman protocol testing tool

Understanding of authentication & authorization frameworks and specifications

Worked in BDD or TDD environment

Working understanding of SCRUM as an agile process

Micron is looking for a Senior Test Development Engineer with direct SSD PCIe/NVMe product test development experience to be a member of the 3DXP Systems Solution organization in Milpitas, CA. In this role you will responsible for the development and implementation of Engineering Verification Test solutions working in conjunction with the 3DXP product design teams. The candidate will be responsible for the design, optimization, and verification of HW and system test tools along with conducting the EVT testing on new products in development. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Create and document EVT plans and test cases * Identify gaps in test coverage and design and implement new tests to improve coverage * Design, develop, setup, and validate product EVT test tools for use in 4-corner, early reliability, and power testing * Test and validate product design compliance with margin to specification across all functional areas of the products * Review technical specifications and interfaces for conformity to design guidelines and functionality * Perform first level SSD failure analysis, work with engineering teams, and track bugs through resolution using JIRA tracking tools * Interpret test data and create reports based on the results Minimum Qualifications: * BS / MS Electrical/Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience) * Ability to work with architecture, design, hardware, and firmware engineering teams to design and develop EVT test suite. * PCIe/NVMe architecture development, design and/or test design experience * Strong hardware knowledge required; hardware knowledge specific to SSDs is preferable * NVMe/PCIe Protocol experience * Experience in the development of test tools/equipment preferably for SSDs * Experience in the development and execution of engineering evaluation tests using a high-level scripting language (Python) * Experience in development and debug in both Linux and Windows environments * Thorough understanding of logic analyzers, bus analyzers, and digital scopes and how to use these tools to debug SSDs * Self-motivated to deliver quality test results in a timely manner * Work well in a team environment * Collaborate across geographic sites and time zones Preferred Skills: * Ability to read and understand FW code * Ability to analyze and understand complex architecture, firmware, software, and hardware specifications * Experience working in Windows and Linux environments * Ability to analyze problems and apply corrective actions * Strong organizational and planning skills * Desire to work in a fast-paced environment * Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills About Us As the leader in innovative memory solutions, Micron is helping the world make sense of data by delivering technology that is transforming how the world uses information.
