Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds.
Regularly required to work in cramped and enclosed areas and exposure to variations in temperature when deploying equipment and walking to sites.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Clearly communicate to perform essential functions.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in information technology or closely related field and one (1) year experience providing first level desktop diagnostic and trouble-shooting support, OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of data center environments, concepts, design, electrical distribution and construction.
Knowledge of data center best practices and industry standards.
Knowledge of infrastructure support equipment including UPS, UPS batteries, DC power plants, HVAC, generators, fire suppression systems (pre-action, HFC-125, etc.), ATS's, PDU's, control systems and security systems
Knowledge of vendor management practices
Experience with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, structured cabling.
Ability to operate basic hand tools
Experience in using basic computer skills
Ability to learn and adapt to new software and monitoring systems
Ability to model empathy, compassion and emotional intelligence
Experience hiring in a values-led organization, emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging

Essential Duties
Support vendor provided preventative maintenance activities- electrical, mechanical and fire systems, etc.
Support break/fix repairs- electrical, mechanical, fire systems, etc.
Monitor and support requests, incidents and problems through ServiceNow ticketing system
Monitor equipment remotely with software applications
Support MDF/IDF room retrofits with UPS, UPS batteries and cooling units
Effectively communicate with colleagues, customers and vendors
Participate in online and in-person meetings, as needed
Acquire and record applicable documentation for the department
Utilize ASU student workers for additional support
Complete required training in a timely manner
