Position is operationally focused and monitors, maintains, and supportshardware, software applications, databases, networks, security systems, otheroperational systems and functional requirements definition.
This may include:
Apply domain knowledge and use technical skills to support customers,resolve problems, provide training as required, estimation, planning, projectgovernance and project management
Support multiple projects by coordinating information, provide support through data analysis, standardize documentation plus practices,contributing to overall strategy, performance evaluation and monitoring
Participate on the front lines of project-related initiatives thatwill deliver new business capabilities for the commercial business
Handle operational aspects of a project, conduct meetings, coordinate with stakeholders and consultants, coordinate cross-functionalproject teams, data analysis, process improvement, standardize PMO practices,document detailed business requirements and training material, provide fullproject life cycle planning, end to end project responsibility, prepare andpresent periodic program executive summaries
Additionaldesired experience: agile and waterfall SDLC, high demand and visibilityprojects, software and infrastructure related projects
Regularly maintain, upgrade and support existing systems to ensure operational stability for business groups
Elicit functional requirements and document these for use by the application development team, the architecture team and other operational teams
Implement hardware and software changes based on new and existing system requirements and install the necessary hardware and equipment infrastructure (power, cables, etc.) to meet these requirements
Implement system health monitoring tools and monitor hardware and software systems to ensure that established SLAs are met
Negotiate with vendors to ensure that all system requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner
Keep abreast of all innovations and changes to AutoZone systems to ensure having the appropriate tools and training to provide quality support
Provide training on systems to maximize operator efficiency and increase speed and accuracy of customer service
Provide customer support by answering business partner questions and maintain a presence at the help desk or other customer point of contact
Select, develop, and motivate assigned staff
Responsible for the development of less experienced AutoZoners; mentor and teach
Perform functional / technical requirements gathering, documentation, estimation, planning and project management on mid-size projects or parts of large projects
Associate's degree preferred, or a high school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent formal training program with specialized training and one to two years experience.
Typically requires two to three years experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities.
Knowledge of MS Office.
Advanced functional and/or business knowledge.
Technical skills may include experience with one or more of: UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cobol, Java, MS SQL, C, C++, Informix, Green plum, Hadoop, ATG, QT4, Oracle, PostgreSQLOracle, PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL, DB2/SQL, JCL, CSP, CICS, TCP/IP, Networking, LAN administration, data analysis, computer operations, or customer service.
