Job Title: Systems Specialist I(Salesforce Deployment)-CIO Org
Location: Remote in Dallas, TX or Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 3 Months
We are looking for a Deployment Specialist in support of Internal Clients and project team members to deploy code packages, administer, and assist to enhance our Salesforce environments.
Team members work closely with the release management team to deploy code in test environments through to production which can include multiple Salesforce Orgs and boundary systems such as Oracle, Exadata and 3rd party connections.
The Deployment Specialist assists the Project teams in Salesforce who are responsible for designing and implementing the application solutions & capabilities to help Salesforce maintain and grow in 2018 and beyond. Interaction, communication, understanding of the deployment requirements and relationships within the teams will form the basis of the deployment strategy and execution from the initiate stage to the subsequent go live deployment to implement the solution.

Responsibilities

  • The Deployment Specialist role requires an in depth understanding of enterprise IT software deployment and life cycle.

  • Release processes for complex integrated enterprise application knowledge is a plus.

  • Provisioning new and refreshed Sandbox environments by executing a post refresh set of instructions

  • Deploying backfill delta deployments to bring the environment equal to the Production environment

  • Deploy code packages and perform all required manual tasks to completion.

  • Pre & Post deployment support which includes:

  • Assistance to facilitate testing

  • Follow up deployment tasks if issues are discovered

  • Assist in troubleshooting deployment issues required to support the Dev, QA, UAT deployments and Production go-live for each major solution, and the associated boundary applications for the implementation phase.

  • Communicate status daily for handoff of tasks to the next geographical resource to facilitate continuity in environment and deployment tasks
    Desired Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of IT technical experiences with roles in multiple phases of software deployment and knowledge of SDLC.

  • Able to understand the functional & technical flows across the landscape

  • Salesforce Administrator (201)

  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator (211)

  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce product architecture

  • Experience with large, complex deployments in Salesforce environments

  • Hands-on experience with the configuration, deployment and expansion of Salesforce functionality by enabling new features

  • Using, but not limited to, the Salesforce administration module, API, data loader, Jenkins, CTI, custom objects, and workflow

  • Experience with data migrations utilizing the Salesforce.com data loader

  • Experience with best practice Customer Relationship Management business processes in sales, marketing, and customer service functions

  • Process & continuous improvement mindset
    Exposure to formal Project Management process

  • Ability to participate in QA and UAT testing if required

The IT Salesforce System Specialist is responsible for line of business support on complex Salesforce implementations. The System Specialist will be the primary technical and process expert in their service area and will work in collaboration with developers, business stakeholders, and other technology teams that impact their end to end business process area of expertise. Daily activities will include, but are not limited to, resolving technical and functional support issues, performing trend analysis and identifying enhancements to reduce support requests, and collaborating with development teams to improve the design of new functionality. Responsibilities: * Build SME level knowledge around the applications used by the support organization and salesforce customers * Interact with business and IT partners on daily basis towards resolution of application support issues, platform enablement and enhancement requests * Understands all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to ongoing releases * Manages tasks and projects in a fast-paced support environment, driving all issues to resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and efficient task execution * Perform tasks related to the day-to-day operations of several large implementations of Salesforce including managing user access, sharing model, creation and maintenance of custom objects and fields, handling bulk data migration, workflows, validation rules, page layouts, and troubleshooting of Apex and integrations * Collaborate with the development scrum teams and other interconnected IT groups to optimize the end-to-end process including monitoring,deployment and support * Implement monitoring services to proactively identify issues * Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures * Actively transfers knowledge throughout organization, participates in knowledge sharing projects to develop best practices, leads knowledge sharing sessions, and mentors junior staff and new hires * Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written security policies, SOX procedures, and change management controls Required Skills: * 6+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4 years of previous Salesforce application development or support in a large scale Implementation handling all aspects of CRM, case management and platform maintenance. * 2+ years of experience programming or supporting in Triggers , Apex Code and Visualforce Pages * Should be Salesforce Certified Administrator (201) , Advanced Administrator (211) , Platform Developer I (401) * Demonstrated ability to handle overall business initiative or several components of a large, complex project with direct experience in Agile and Scrum; * Understanding of best practices regarding Salesforce implementations, including design patterns, release management, deployment strategies, and testing best practices * Ability to engage with emotional intelligence as required to avoid conflicts with customers based on personality differences and to make suggestions in a manner that is more likely to result in a desired outcome * Excellent understanding of Salesforce's Web Services and good understanding of Salesforce SOQL, SOSL and security model * Must be a self-starter and Salesforce enthusiast who thrives on working in fast-paced environment * Strong team player with service-oriented attitude and customer focus * Familiarity with SOX protocols, Change Management and Release Management principles and processes * Exposure to Java and J2EE related technologies * Experience with sandbox and production deployments Desired Skills: * Master's degree in relevant business or technical discipline * Service Cloud and Sales Cloud Consultant * Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II (501) certified * Experience with Javascript frameworks such as Jquery and/or ExtJS Posting Statement Salesforce.com and Salesforce.org are Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employers.
