Based within the Anglian Water Region, the successful applicants will be expected to travel across the region to visit sites and to the Peterborough area on a regular basis

We have 4 roles are available, 2 are based in water and two in water recycling although there may be some opportunity to work across both business units in the future

Our business plan, which we have recently submitted to Ofwat will deliver £9billion of essential investment in the east of England. What will you be doing?

This is a key role in Asset Delivery Planning supporting the Portfolio Leads, the core function of this role is to investigate business risks & to develop & promote best-for-business solutions to resolve them. You will lead the Investment Process during the Solution Development stage & following delivery transition will provide a line of sight for the business throughout the lifecycle of the construction scheme including post project review feedback.

You will be responsible for planning & conducting the investigation of groups of water/water recycling investments (i.e. risks/needs/schemes) in accordance with our Investment Process. Your role will involve extensive collaborative working with operational teams and delivery partners to identify and evaluate options and promote a preferred option to our delivery teams for construction.

Key tasks include:

  • Investigation and evaluation of water recycling (wastewater) and water asset risks and investment needs

  • Solution development, costing and evaluation of options to address these risks

  • Reporting and stakeholder management

  • Lead the Risk Opportunity and Value (ROV) Process to select the best value option

  • Continuous improvement and supporting the team as required

What does it take to be a System Solution Developer?

  • Degree or equivalent level qualification in an engineering or related subject would be advantageous but not essential if you have other relevant experience

  • Knowledge of the Water/Water Recycling processes is desirable, but not essential

  • Experience of cost estimating and related techniques

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop strategies and solutions

  • Strong relationship management and communication skills

  • Strong experience in using Excel, Word and Powerpoint, with experience in using Power Bi and C55 being desirable but not essential

  • Full UK Driving Licence
