Supports Software Engineering and Development activities for Army Aviation and Missile programs at the US Army CCDC Aviation and Missile, Systems, Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate. Develops and assists in implementation of quality programs for hardware, software, and service products. Responsible for developing and applying advanced techniques in the investigation and solution of advanced system requirements and problems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
Responsible for developing and applying advanced techniques in the investigation and solution of advanced system requirements and problems *
Performs advanced technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives
Analyzes and resolves difficult and complicated program support deficiencies *
Guide configuration, debugging, and support for software programs and ensures all quality and change control standards are met
Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects *
Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.
Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management *
May evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services

Bachelor's degree in related field such as systems engineering, electrical engineering or software engineering. Masters preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years related experience
Active DoD security clearance
Rigorous understanding of software engineering and or development processes.
Configuration Management support experience.
Experience auditing software development processes and standards.
Experience providing technical support to software intensive Aviation and/or Missile programs
