Position Description

The Division of Technology and Innovation is seeking a motivated individual to serve in a full-time Career Service position as a Systems Project Analyst.

This position participates in planning, programming, testing and documentation of technical projects for the Application Development and Support Bureau, Division of Technology and Innovation, within the Florida Department of Education.

This position assists senior developers in all phases of application development lifecycle.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:

Maintains existing applications.

Writes reliable programs, performs testing and creates documentation.

Documents procedures for deployment (implementation plans) of products in a manner such that future deployments and redeployments are repeatable with a high degree of success.

Identifies and reports project issues and communicate status to management.

Provides customer assistance and ensures customer needs are met.

Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Required Experience:

Object Oriented Programming Language

Relational Databases

Preferred Experience:

Experience or training in Azure AD identity management implementation, including B2B/B2C

Experience with ASP.Net and C#

Experience with SQL databases and reports.

Knowledge, skills and Abilities, including utilitzation of equipment, required for the position:

Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of computer programming and systems analysis design;

Knowledge of computer flowcharting techniques;

Knowledge of mathematics;

Knowledge of computer operations, procedures, and systems;

Ability to process information logically;

Ability to design systems logic and/or process information logically;

Abilityto analyze and interpret computer program data.

Skills in web and client/server applications development using Microsoft SQL/Server, Microsoft ..NET (C# and VB), and SQL Server Reporting Services.

Skill in the use of SQL data reporting techniques, plus oral and written communications skills.

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments;

Ability to communicate technical data processing information effectively.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Background Screening Requirements

It is the policy of the Florida Department of Education that applicants for employment undergo level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
