POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the HQ System Administration Data Processing Manager within the Bureau of Information Technology Services (ITS) Program's Bureau of Customer Service Administration. The incumbent in this position is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and centrally managing enterprise desktop solutions in a local and wide area network environment. This position is responsible for the installation and configuration of the department's desktop and laptop systems, agency laptop encryption, mobile phone management, desktop antivirus management, desktop /laptop imaging, and asset management. This is a full-time position Monday-Friday, with rotation On-Call.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific duties include:
Conducting 2nd tier support such as Air Watch Mobile Device Management administration, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager administration, Group Policy Objects administration, and enterprise deployment applications within the Desktop Support team. Responsible for providing installation, implementing, maintaining and supporting distributed computer systems, including: hardware, software, and communications components;
Controlling computer functions by using programs, setting up functions, script writing software, or otherwise communicating with computer systems;
Consulting with business area customers to determine system requirements;
Conducting site survey evaluations to define required system components;
Evaluating and recommending appropriate hardware, operating system software, application software;
Editing and modifying configuration files for the distributed computer operating systems, system software, and application software and for the communication with other computers or peripheral equipment;
Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to inform others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used; and
Inspecting or diagnosing equipment, structures, or materials to identify the causes of errors or other problems or defects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of distributed processing operations, procedures, and equipment;
Knowledge of Windows 11;
Knowledge of Group Policy Objects ;
Knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager;
Knowledge of Air Watch Mobile Device Management;
Skills in enterprise desktop software distribution solutions;
Skills in Window scripting techniques;
Ability to deploy and implement enterprise desktop operating system deployment solutions (Symantec Ghost, Microsoft Deployment Services);
Ability to develop training programs related to distributed systems components; and
Ability to install and configure server operating systems.

NOTES:
Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
