Customers expect our networks to perform at a high level all the time. That's where you come in. You will investigate, evaluate and resolve network performance issues to ensure optimal and reliable service for our customers. The work you'll be doing will directly impact customer satisfaction and help keep us ahead of the competition.
Investigating and resolving customer complaints regarding service.
Integrating new cell sites, small cells, and DAS systems into existing macro network.
Partnering with RF in evaluation and design of current and future network.
Performing VoLTE testing and analyses of relevant key performance indicators.
Optimizing LTE and RAN networks using traditional and innovative means.
RAN optimization assistance to HQ service performance activity for Samsung RAN as it relates to feature review of current and upcoming releases for 4G. Helping HQ and regional teams to optimize new vendor software loads and features.
Collaborating with SON teams for inclusion of best optimization practices for Samsung RAN.
Collaborating with Maintenance Engineering and local network teams/operations to facilitate FOA, review of validation test plans and test results, test feature interactions with legacy devices and determine feature readiness/worthiness for GA.
Ensuring LTE network maintains performance superiority and reliability and meets company KPIs.
Interacting with Device Technology, Network Planning and RAN vendors to provide feedback on feature definitions, RAN and device roadmap.
Collaborating with Device Performance Team, Territories and Market System Performance on device issues and performance optimization trials.
What we're looking for...
You have a strong customer service orientation. You like to take ownership of an issue and resolve it successfully. You are able to understand and evaluate a complex problem and present solutions. You work well independently as well as effectively with diverse business teams and vendors to implement solutions.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
Knowledge of LTE including VoLTE and RAN networks.
Willingness to travel upto approximately 25% of the time.
A valid driver's license.
Even better if you have:
BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Two more years of relevant work experience.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Working knowledge in any one data analysis/collection tool such as ALPT/ELPT, RTT, Irisview, Datapro and TEMS.
Working knowledge of data analysis/post-processing tools such as Irisview, Windcatcher/Actix/TEMS Discovery.
Knowledge of propagation and optimization modeling tools such as Atoll, Geoplan.
Knowledge of analysis tools such as Tableau, excel and presentation software PowerPoint, Word.
Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python, Unix, scripting tools.
Knowledge of mapping software such as MapInfo, Google Earth.
Knowledge of Nokia/fALU systems including SAM and 3GPP LTE standards.
Ability to differentiate and diagnose RAN and CORE related problems.
Knowledge of IMS and systems engineering aspects related to RAN and proficiency in Core level call flow analysis.
