We are looking Systems & Network Administrator in Huntsville, AL.


  • Work with government and other contractor teams, in a leadership capacity, to upgrade and maintain functionality of 4 domains' computing and network infrastructure consisting of over 300 workstations.

  • Research, suggest, and implement solutions based on current and upcoming technology requirements

  • Assist ITASE team with resolving issues related to architecture, user account maintenance and miscellaneous software development anomalies, as well as maintaining server/workstation hardware

  • Run simulations and participate in training exercises in support of demonstrations and customer projects.

  • Perform upkeep and maintenance on over 100 user accounts, including providing a positive user/administrator interaction experience


  • Bachelors Degree in an Information Technology discipline

  • 5 years of previous Systems and Network Administration

  • CompTIA Security+ Certification is required

This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll Essential Functions * Support the Reagan Test Site (RTS) Operations Center as a Principal Linux Systems Administrator. * Install, maintain, and support multiple servers on physical and virtual platforms in support of RTS initiatives. * Responsible for contributing to the design and deployment of complex physical and virtual infrastructures. * Maintain a secure computing environment, including patching of all systems, and applying applicable STIG settings. * Contribute to the design and deployment of beneficial IT solutions to improve execution, efficiency, and capabilities. * Ensure the technical integrity of existing and future design solutions. * Perform root cause analysis and resolution for hardware and software issues. * Perform other duties as necessary. Required Skills * Strong shell scripting skills and understanding of systems interaction and network dependent applications and services. * Knowledge and advanced troubleshooting skills with VMware vSphere 6.x+. * Knowledge of and advanced troubleshooting skills with RHEL 5, 6, 7, and 8. * Ability to manage and troubleshoot SELinux configurations. * Secure physical and virtual machines to DISA STIG requirements. * Able to deploy, configure, and maintain RHEL systems in a mission critical environment. * Strong documentation skills, organizational skills, and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. Required Experience * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience. * Eight (8) years' experience working in related engineering field within Information Technology. * Must have and maintain an active CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, or similar certification meeting DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01 baseline certification for IAT Level III. * Must have and maintain an active MCSE, CCNP, VCAP, RHCSE, or similar certification to meet DoD 8570.01-M certifications required for the applicable operating system and/or security related tools/devices for this position to meet the IAT Level III requirements. * Must apply extensive knowledge of a variety of Cyber Security field concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of enclave systems. Desired Experience * Comfortable with creating, maintaining, and deploying Ansible playbooks. * Experience managing CF Engine and Centrify, preferred. * Kernel level debugging with ability to read/troubleshoot various scripted languages as necessary (Bash, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, etc.) * Strong understanding of the TCP/UDP network stacks and familiar with troubleshooting via the ISO-OSI model, or similar. * Experience sizing and rightsizing physical and virtual system resources using OS native tools (sar, mpstat, top, vmstat, iostat, etc.) * Strong understanding of security relevant changes and experience building security controls into new and existing solutions.
