Description of Duties:
We are hiring individuals with program management, cyber security engineering, systems engineering, operations and sustainment engineering, systems network administration, and unit and administrative security experience to support our U.S Space Force customers at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC). Our team will sit on-site with our customers who are focused on sustaining America's legacy and next-generation Military Satellite Communication space programs. You will be in the premier space sustainment organization responsible for delivering space-based capabilities and effects to our warfighters and allied partners. Key duties associated with this position include:
Provide engineering support and system administration to SMC/ECP's Integrated System Test Environment (ISTE) and Integrated System Support Environment (ISSE) and associated elements of the UNIX network
Perform primary and alternate Workstation Area Security Officer (WASO) for SMC/MCL's Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) configuration
Assess equipment management and recommend changes to the Automated Data Processing Equipment custodian for any modifications to ISTE/ISEE government equipment
provide system engineering support of the ISTE/ISEE equipment which includes assessing proposed changes and providing recommendations for the software test environment, the formulation of new Information System environments, and reported problems within the software test environments
Identify requirements and analyze COTS products including software, hardware and maintenance offerings, manage annual subscription support for products used on ISTE/ISEE and perform site preparation and/or hardware/software installation on ISTE/ISEE equipment.
Assess and recommend changes to ISTE/ISEE architecture/topology drawings managed by system security engineers to comply with necessary certification and accreditation time periods
Investigate and analyze the government's software, hardware, and maintenance support requirements and recommend improvements to the government, manage the installation of approved software and/or hardware and/or maintenance support solutions and shall track, record, and report all licenses and subscription services.
MA/MS degree in related engineering discipline and 15 years of experience with 10 years of DoD support preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems network and information technology
Knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
US Citizenship is required
Active Secret clearance
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
