Independently performs a broad array of development and advisory tasks associated to support of the Drilling and Completions teams. Day-to-day activities include, triaging complex incidents, defining and implementing a transition to operations process, meeting with Well Engineering and IT stakeholders to insure consistency, as well as create and perform code/design reviews on Well Engineering related projects. Actively seek process and technology inefficiencies and identify innovative solutions to improve overall support of the Well Engineering team. This resource will also serve as a mentor for less experienced team members. This position will be assisting with the strategic/tactical implementation and support model of Well Engineering in a cloud/big data landscape.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
Minimum of ten years of design and implementation experience in IT; preferably with a diverse background in various technologies and solution domain areas, including cloud platforms
Well Engineering Subject Matter Expert
Leadership experience in guiding teams is critical
Experience in presenting concepts and solution options to decision makers is critical
Deep knowledge of Peloton products including Wellview and Siteview
Industry Experience in Drilling & Completions: Update well files, procedure information, and performance tracking documents.
Advanced Technical skills in reporting with SQL/TSQL
Custom application Development experience in .NET, Powershell
Windows Server Administration
Knowledge of Business Intelligence Solutions including Power BI
Experience in Cloud Computing
Experience to Big Data Development including but not limited to Azure Data Lake Store, Data Bricks, Spark, Azure Data Factory
Packaging and Installation of Applications
Strong aptitude to pick up new skills and technologies
Manage incident queues, and triage complex technical issues
Technical expertise to troubleshoot issues in support of Drilling/Completions/Production Engineers
Provide technical support for Power BI or other visualization tools.
Perform calculations and preliminary analyses of data in support of engineering studies.
Initiate and develop more accurate and reliable data analyses and reporting methodologies.
Serve as a mentor to less experienced members of the team
Identify process inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions to automate, improve or eliminate them
Ability to assemble and analyze data from various internal systems and third party well data, including state regulatory and production data.
Generate monthly/weekly/daily reports based on standard procedures to provide project performance tracking and ensure accuracy of data.
