Perform simulations and analysis of navigation systems and develop algorithms to enhance product performance. You will be a technical contributor responsible for overall product design, integration and qualification of new inertial navigation products for Honeywell and customer funded programs. Ensure design objectives and quality requirements are met for new development products. You will work closely with senior engineers to create and evaluate opportunities to develop new products and product enhancements.

Develop and maintain long-term technical relationships with key customers to gather competitive intelligence and identify new business opportunities.

Work in cross functional teams of engineers and technicians to troubleshoot and evaluate product quality and resolve new development challenges.

Minimal travel up to 10% may be necessary.

  • Pursuing Masters Degree in Aerospace, Electrical or Computer Systems Engineering from an accredited college or university

  • Must be able to complete internship prior to graduating

  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements


  • Educational or engineering experience in Sensing Guidance & Navigation Systems

  • Self-motivated, results oriented individuals who are able to lead with little or no management oversight

  • Understanding of INS/GPS systems with emphasis in simulation and analysis, Kalman Filter design, inertial sensor analysis techniques, differential GPS and classical controls

  • Some experience in systems architecture design/definition, requirements development, test case development and verification

  • Some experience in INS/GPS software development and hardware integration with background in C/C++, Matlab, Simulink

  • Basic understanding of engineering processes related to concept development of inertial navigation products through transition to production

  • High aptitude in mathematics or physics

  • Background in communication protocols: IEEE 1394B, RS-422 and RS-232

  • Some experience with DOORS, ClearCase, TeamView, Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint, Mathematica and Solid Works

  • Some experience with or understanding of Six Sigma principles
