Leidos is seeking a Systems Integration/Test Engineer who will be a member of a dynamic team working on the Federal Aviation Administration's En-Route Automation Modernization ERAM) technology, which is the heart of the Next Generation Air Transportation System and the pulse of the National Airspace System helping to advance our transition from a ground-based system of air traffic control to a satellite-based system of air traffic management. ERAM is vital to the future of air navigation, providing the foundational platform required for FAA to enable NextGen solutions, via modernization programs such as System Wide Information Management, Data Communications, and Automatic Dependent Surveillance- Broadcast. ERAM will provide benefits for users and the flying public by increasing air traffic flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop CR Verification test plans and procedures

  • Develop/test/validation of test scenarios

  • Test Execution in the Lab and Virtual Test Lab (VTL)

  • Data analysis necessary to verify test results and PR fixes

  • Identify software and system issues working across the various system functions and threads

  • Deliver high quality work products on or ahead of schedule.

  • Follow all documented test processes.

  • Meet or exceed all individual and team objectives/milestones.

  • Use the most efficient methods to deliver a product, following test processes.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires BS degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated technical integration skills in prior work performed

  • Understanding of Linux, AIX or other UNIX type operating system

  • Test or similar technical experience working with complex systems

  • Demonstrated success working in a team oriented environment

  • Ability to work in a group or independently to ensure team goals are met

  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work overtime (OT), off hours, and weekends (if necessary) to meet deadlines.

Desired qualifications

  • ERAM/DataComm Project experience

  • Knowledge of deploying of Air Traffic Control Systems

  • Knowledge and understanding of how to test complex systems

  • Experience preparing test plans & procedures

  • Experience in lab test execution

  • AT Simulation experience

  • Problem Determination / Data Analysis

  • FAA Air Traffic Domain knowledge

Duties will include customer-facing producer and consumer on-ramping activities, developing and executing test procedures, troubleshooting system and network connectivity issues, performing Linux system administration tasks such as server and file system maintenance, and supporting test configurations in VMware virtual environments. Qualifications: * Excellent professional customer interaction skills; customer technical interface responsibilities for quick-turn, informational and informal NEMS tests at WJHTC. * Solid understanding of Service Oriented-Architecture (SOA), publish/subscribe (JMS), and web services. * Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic Suite (WLS), Oracle Service Bus (OSB), Oracle middleware suite, and EJB software. * Apache AMQ, Camel, Service Mix, & CXF software. * Understanding of JMS, JNDI, J2EE, Web Services, SOAP/http, xml/http * RedHat Linux, VMware, TCP/IP Networking, SQL. * Configuration of JMS providers (Oracle, FuseSource) and troubleshooting of JMS client connections. * Configuring OSB proxies, installing and troubleshooting WSDLs, and Web Services. * Work with Web Services Interoperability, WS-* standards. Experience: * Bachelors' degree (or the equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of four (4) years of related experience. * Experience working with Web Services and Java JMS SW Integration and test experience. * Experience working with Services Oriented Architecture Java Messaging Service (JMS) and Web Services (SOAP, REST). Preferred Skills: * Linux shell scripting (e.g. Bash, Csh, Zsh, Bourne), Python, Perl * Java programming * Familiarity with the Solace JMS appliance * Experience with Git, Jenkins, Gerrit * Using Jira or similar tools to status and track tasks, tickets, and configuration changes * Experience working in VMware virtual environments.
