We are seeking a talented, energetic, and proactive Systems Integration Engineer to join our team and assist in enhancing our live streaming video applications and services, which are in active use by our global customers.

As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will help install, integrate and maintain Motion Imagery systems at the Army DCGS-A systems integration lab (SIL) at Aberdeen, MD. As the AIMES on site representative, you will routinely interface with government and contractor personnel to perform system design, system build, system integration, and deployment of video/motion-imagery related products. You should have in-depth experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, networking, JBOSS and web services. You must have familiarity with software configuration utilities such as Puppet/Ansible, and Chocolatey. You should be able to work both independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a team environment. The work will be accomplished across a range of direct contracts, internal research and development, and indirect tasks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as on site AIMES Technical SME for the AIMES Server and Client application

  • Provide onsite support for Army customer ensuring that all new AIMES and PICTE features and releases function properly within the Army DCGS-A environment:

  • Integration of Server components

  • Automating the installation of Server Components

  • Troubleshooting on site and remote site server and application issues

  • Work with onsite personnel to mitigate security risks with the system

  • Write and run on site Acceptance Test Procedures at a customer site with the customer witnessing

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience or systems engineering (years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

  • In-depth experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux operating systems including documenting systems and networks.

  • Familiarity with virtualization environments. Able to analyze and isolate system configuration faults in a Virtual environment

  • Experience designing, planning, deploying, and troubleshooting issues in highly-scalable, highly-redundant environments

  • Be able to write and run onsite Site Acceptance Test Procedures at a customer site with the customer witnessing.

  • Be flexible in tasking changes due to supporting simultaneous software releases and customer deadlines.

  • Experience with Puppet, Scripting, Chocolatey and other software deployment tools

  • Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting including TCP Unicast and Multicast, Routing

  • Windows Networking, troubleshooting applications, reviewing logs, monitoring services.

  • Demonstrable problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work with onsite test teams to create valid test cases to be used for reporting change requests and deficiencies.

  • Ability to integrate third party applications such as Active Directory/LDAP Integration

  • Requirements elicitation, capture, definition and documentation for new capabilities and features associated with motion imagery processing, exploitation and dissemination

  • Work well within a team and independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task)

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: U.S. citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with digital video systems and/or software

  • Experience with Puppet, Scripting, Chocolatey and other software deployment tools

  • Apache HTTPd, specifically proxy module, basic authentication and client verification

  • JBOSS/Wildfly/Tomcat(Java Application Servers)

  • Familiarity with at least one Relational Database Management System (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).

  • Strong proficiency in RHEL/Centos system administration. To include: RPMS, YUM Repositories, Networking services, DNS, and IP Tables.

  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile Environment
