Position Title: Systems Hardware Architect
Reports To: Chief Engineer, Systems & Algorithm Architecture
Location: Novi, Michigan
Full/Part-Time: Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Systems Hardware Architect will be responsible for the product architecture advancement of product capabilities and features. This role will be responsible for architecture definition, interface definition, SoC selection, configuration, defined resource allocation, and dynamic behavior of the product.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall product technical leadership
Product technical and feature roadmap analysis and definition
SoC/component analysis, selection, performance benchmarking, HW design
Support Software Architecture, resource allocation, dynamic behavior definition
Drive the teams to follow ASPICE V-cycle development procedure
Take responsibility for fulfilling functional safety ASIL level requirements
Define integration test strategy and overall product performance
Specific areas include camera-based products, high compute ADAS platforms, Display & HMI, Imaging and Optics, SoCs etc.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, software and mechanical teams
Strong project management skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science or above in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, biomedical engineering, etc.
5 years of working experience as Systems or Hardware Architect in a production project
Experience with a complete production program including design, test and manufacturing of electronic circuits, components and devices (SoC-based, High-Speed design, Camera etc.)
Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit block design and their integration into products
Understanding of signal conditioning
Familiarity of layout tools
Experience with schematic capture and layout
Good knowledge of functional safety and ASPICE standards
Basic coding and modelling skill with MATLAB/Simulink/Python/C
Knowledge of ADAS applications and sensor set
Strong collaboration and understanding of effective communication; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
Ability and willingness to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals
Can-do attitude and passion of excellence
