What You'll Do

At ZAGG Inc., the role of systems engineer is designed to engage with any efforts directed by management that will affect the user's experience with technology. This role will be part of the IT Applications & Integration team and will include optimizing the user experience with existing applications and assist in gathering requirements for enhancements. This role will be responsible for understanding the current automation used to support business processes as well as the processes themselves. Including the identification of all critical automation needs for key business processes. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the systems and networks meet the business needs efficiently and securely. This role involves analyzing requirements, developing solutions, and optimizing existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• As directed by management, survey and diagnose application issues, resolve user productivity issues, and advise management about systems innovations to improve user productivity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, Integration Service engineers, data engineers, and IT support staff, to address system-related issues and ensure smooth operation. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed.

• Implement monitoring tools to track system performance and identify areas for optimization. Proactively troubleshoot issues and fine-tune systems to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.

• Perform regular maintenance tasks, plan, and execute system upgrades to leverage new features and technologies.

• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Generate reports to communicate system performance metrics and status updates to relevant stakeholders.

• Perform post-mortem analysis of project implementations, outages, project failures or missed expectations.

• Actively participate in strategic and tactical planning to drive productivity for users.

• Liaison with external partners to assist with monitoring service delivery objectives.

• Effectively communicate results and business needs to management team.

• Manage ad hoc projects as they occur.

What You'll Need to be Successful

• Bachelor's degree preferably in IT or IS. However, work experience in the IT Applications discipline can compensate.

• 4-6 years of proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server).

• 2-3 years of proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Analyst with a focus on Power BI development.

• Proven experience with workflows and automations.

• 4-6 years of proven experience with general enterprise applications, APIs, and Service Layers.

• 4-6 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or retail environment.

• Proficiency in operations systems (Windows and Linux), high level administration tasks on Windows server, installation, and configuration of roles.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Deep understanding of business processes and the ability to align IT solutions with the organization's strategic goals.

• Ability to create detailed documentation of systems, processes, and proposed changes.

• Expert level knowledge in MS Dynamics, Excel, and other Office tools
