Systems Engineer

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our ISD team located in our Kennesaw, GA location. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust and scalable infrastructure solutions that align with the organization's business goals and technologies that include security, data center/on-premise infrastructure and cloud. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams (business and technical) to understand the requirements and design and implement the solution that meets business, technical requirements, security and strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and deploy Windows server infrastructure, including planning, installation, and configuration, of Windows-based systems.

• Develop and implement security measures to protect Windows servers and network resources, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and antivirus solutions.

• Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless integration between Windows servers and the network infrastructure.

• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.

• Deploy cloud-based solutions leveraging knowledge in Availability Zones, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), EC2, S3, Route 53.

• Migrate solutions from on-premise to cloud, configuring resilient, scalable, and secure environments

• Implement infrastructure-as-code principles using tools to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of resources. Create workflows and pipelines for continuous integration and deployment

• Create automation scripts

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components.

• Implement and enforce security best practices for infrastructure design and maintenance.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Application teams in DevOps (DevSecOps) for Automation, Configuration Management, and Monitoring leveraging Infrastructure as Code frameworks.

• Create and maintain detailed documentation that clearly articulates infrastructure architectures and designs

• Create operational support documentation to enable operations team to fully support deployed solutions

What you'll need to be successful:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

• Minimum of 10-years deploying infrastructure

• Minimum of 2-years in designing and deploying cloud solutions

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

• Skills in Infrastructure components - server, network, unified communications, desktop services, operating systems (Windows, Linux), cloud, Storage Area Network / Storage Arrays

• Deploying Infrastructure as Code

• Microsoft Windows Servers including Active Directory (Deployment and Management)

• Microsoft Hyper-V Standalone and Clustering, Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager

• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM formerly known as SCCM)

Microsoft SQL

• Domain Controller Setup

• DHCP Server Setup

• DNS Server Setup / Open DNS

• DFS Replication; DFS Name Spaces

• PowerShell Scripting; Automation, Data Collection

• Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS

• Basic Understanding of IPv4 Subnetting, Routing and VLANS
