Systems Engineer - Stores Delivery
About the Team
You will be part of the Technology Solutions Stores Delivery team responsible for building, delivering and providing administration support of our stores hardware and software. SCCM and Altiris are the primary deployment tools used for system builds. Our supported OS's range from 2k16 for servers and Windows10 for non POS clients and POS systems. Our job is to ensure that at every Williams-Sonoma, Inc. location, associates and customers have the best experience possible utilizing the technology we provide in stores.
About the Role
In the Systems Engineer role, you will be responsible for building, deploying and supporting all of Williams-Sonoma, Inc.'s Windows infrastructure that supports retail locations in the US and Canada. You will also provide production support for corporate servers, including patching. You will work with other engineers to deliver performance and service standards from your internal customer's requirements. Using your technical experience, you will own, build and run efficient and effective use of the Windows environment.

Implement and maintain all hardware and software deployments into the stores either via project work, new store builds, or production support.
Implement and maintain the technical standards for Windows servers and clients in the stores and corporate.
Work with the engineers and architects to determine roadmaps for better automation and stability in stores technology.
Provide support and administration of network switches in stores, including creating configurations for Cisco switches.
Provide support for all wireless infrastructure and mobile devices in stores.
Work closely with third and fourth level teams on development and implementation of new hardware and software into stores.
Grow and develop your team's technical capabilities and manage your individual priorities and tasks.
Publish Build-To and review the As-Built documentation for current and new server related design deployments.
Provide insightful data to guide decision-making and offer proactive solutions.

You have a firm grasp of Cisco functionality and commands for switches.
You are well versed in Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 2016 Server, Windows 2012 Server, Windows 2008 Server
You have previous support or deployment experience in a Windows based enterprise or retail environment.
You have experience with configuration, administration and performance troubleshooting of SCCM, Altiris, Visual Basic or PowerShell processes and commands.
You are comfortable with the administration of Active Directory for OU and computer name related tasks.
You can follow detailed documentation accurately and efficiently.
You work well in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
You have strong capabilities in empowering and enabling your team members.
You have strong communication skills that help convey unconventional ideas that well-grounded engineers need to be sold on.
You are proficient with VMware and Hyper-V for VM server builds.
You have working knowledge of various patching solutions in an enterprise level environment.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered).
2+ years of engineering or administration support of Windows systems in an enterprise environment.
3+ years of experience in a support or help desk role providing remote and phone support to customers.
Fundamental understanding of deploying and supporting Windows servers in a highly available and fault tolerant enterprise level environment.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Superior computer skills including business applications such as MS Windows and MS Office including Excel, Access, Visio and Word. Service-Now experience is a plus.
Knowledge of theory and principles of project management.
Hands on experience in large scale enterprise deployments for both hardware and software.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $86,000 -$106,000 annually. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
