What you'll be doing...

Our customers have high expectations for our Digital My Verizon Mobile Application platforms - speed, responsiveness and constant availability. That's where you come in. You will help to design and implement reliable and scalable solutions to complex problems and meet critical business needs. Your optimization and performance skills will help application development teams and our vendors drive better Digital Mobile and one message platform architecture and solutions.

  • You will be responsible for the Public cloud migration of our missions Critical applications from the onprem data-centers.

  • You will work on migrating applications from vendor based products to open source products, platform consolidations along with the MicroServices platform migration from our monolithic applications.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better of you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree

  • Four or more years of experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.

  • Three or more years of DevOps/Site Reliability engineering experience.

  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies with AWS.

  • Automation experience and ability to code or script at an intermediate to advance level.

  • Configuration Management with Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Python.

  • Two or more years of experience working on middle technologies like Weblogic, Tomcat, MQ, RabbitMQ, Springboot, REDIS, Elasticsearch etc.

  • Capabilities including team collaboration, support, maintenance, and implementation.

  • Experience with creating and improving documented procedures and/or playbooks.

  • Knowldege with open-source configuration, orchestration, and CI/CD tools.

  • Complete understanding and implementation experience with Micro services platform.

  • Knowldege with Kubernetes and/or Docker.

Responsibilities: * Cloud (Amazon Web Services, Azure) IaaS design, engineering, solutions, and operations * Automate environment building and transform the traditional infrastructure model to infrastructure as code * Collaborate and partner across business and IT teams to define requirements and deliver technology solutions * Proactively researches and identifies new technologies that will affect business policies, procedures and practices. Socializes external trends and research findings to increase awareness of evolving industry and technology * Troubleshoot support incidents and provide root cause analysis Qualifications: * 1+ years of Cloud Engineering (design/engineering) AWS or Azure authentication integration, cloud, authentication solutions * Experience with Linux and CLI * Experience with Python or Shell scripting * Some experience with third-party cloud services/SaaS solutions * Some experience with load balancers and cloud native technologies (E.g.
