Universal Robotics, a state of the art A.I. robotics company, is seeking a systems engineer to be part of a team implementing automation solutions that support and enable Universals software products. Must have passion for the effort, and a strong work ethic.

Duties will involve interfacing with project managers, engineers, customers, and vendors. If you have the ability to design, test and execute systems, and a desire to be one of the best in your field, then this role is for you!


Design and execute plans for testing integrated software/hardware systems

Supervise and develop a team of 3-5 junior engineers

Understand and Implement Lean practices across the organization, to include system assembly, storage, and maintenance, shipping, as well as integration of systems.

Manage customer and application while on a customer site.

Conduct robot programming for individual applications, and oversee the companys program for integrating software into robotic workcells and delivering it to customer.


Demonstrated technical communications skills, verbal and written.

Demonstrated organization and being detail-oriented in a dynamic, complex environment.

Demonstrated rigor: the ability to implement sound engineering processes and develop and execute complete solutions.

Ability to understand programming logic and to learn and understand new programming languages as needed.

Ability to understand goals and intent and then execute challenging goals based on guidance

Internally driven to produce quality in product and process.


Project management or other management of technical programs and projects
3 years in an engineering role or at an engineering focused company

Experience with robotic systems

Proven accomplishments as an autodidact (Udacity Nanodegree, Coursera, etc.)

Job Summary: The role of a Systems Engineer at L3 ForceX will be responsible for evaluating complex technical issues and providing system-engineering solutions. The systems engineer will develop designs and systems into new and existing technical documentation after performing engineering assessments and when prudent will implement those designs. This individual will also be responsible for contributing to the completion of programs by documenting requirements, creating schedule and tracking items to closure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Incorporate/develop new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations and develop associated technical documentation and processes. * Provide engineering evaluations, analysis and documentation that contributes to Design Reviews, Peer Reviews and Technical Interchanges * Support product development efforts under the guidance of senior engineers and project leadership * Elicit highly technical requirements from stakeholders, and create and maintain technical documentation * Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer, user and other associated project team members * Evaluate and determine technical approaches to support decisions for various programs * Create reports, documents and presentations for program and leadership meetings * Manage configuration control of interconnected systems including software, hardware and firmware * Ensure compliance with US Government IT security regulations and requirements on any system design or changes and be able to direct / implement those requirements. * Travel to customer locations without supervision and provide onsite ISR mission system level support for US Government and DOD Prime contractor to ensure system performance and mission success. * Work with suppliers to determine the technical capabilities, delivery schedules and associated costs Required Skills, Experience and Education: * Must have a strong systems engineering background specifically with experience in leading and collaborating with a diverse background of organizations and teams to accomplish whole system solutions or changes. Ability to review and analyze high level technical needs, and through a structured and logical approach refine the need into an integrated set of requirements and implementation projects * Experience with the application of systems engineering tools for requirements management, risk management and systems decommissioning and disposal activities * Experience working with project planning, requirement management and scheduling * A working understanding of systems change and configuration management * Applicant should be a proficient communicator to all skill sets and levels of the organization, be able to respond effectively to changing situations, and be able to properly prioritize, status, and work multiple tasks. * Demonstrated experience and or training in the integration of requirements, design and technology during the design and development of complex systems * Demonstrated experience and or training in product development and associated development life cycle * Understand impacts US Government Information Assurance and IT regulations on system design and changes. * Bachelors in Science in Systems Engineering, IT or a related technical field or seven years of combined experience in IT operations and sustainment * Ability to hold and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
